For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

pinkspottywellies · 20/01/2008 22:07

Hmm. I don't know. I will check next time I have rhubarb. I had a lovely time in Norfolkshire by the way. I waved to you and Boco [wave]

triangle, Lionhart?

Glad you had a nice time, Pink, where did you have lunch in the end? I went for a second run yesterday.

MrsCarrot · 20/01/2008 22:16

Thanks for all holiday advice, I think I will be nervous about health in Morroco especially with no vaccinations. We were thinking Italy actually, Avi, Sicily or Sardinia. Which one is French, Corsica? We'll have to wait and see with finances anyway. Lol at definitely getting the trots in Morroco!

MrsCarrot · 20/01/2008 22:17

what are you banning, Franny, I can feel your reticence!

pinkspottywellies · 20/01/2008 22:18

Well done MrsC! I dragged my sis out for a run! We went swimming at Riverside in the morning then had lunch at Bella Pasta. Sis mentioned the cafe at Rainbow Wholefoods but said it was upstairs and she didn't think there was a lift. I wanted to get more crying chocolate but decided I should lose more weight and finish our Christmas chocolate first!

FrannyandZooey · 20/01/2008 22:21

I am banning

garlic
smutty talk about rhubarb
titles i don't get

have just had email from 18 y old who I used to nanny for, and whose father I currently work for, and who likes to confide all her teenage problems in me, saying "by the way, did you ever take drugs when you were younger?"

I will ban emails like that as well

I have long wanted the kale curling one.

We shall have Mrs C's. Though I don't see what's wrong with Another one bites the husk.

Except it doesn't show f&v in a particularly attractive light. [subversive]

MrsCarrot · 20/01/2008 22:25
