For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

There's no other veg, there's no other veg...(a la Blur but I fear no-one will get it)

lionheart · 20/01/2008 21:24

I like garlic.

TooTicky · 20/01/2008 21:24

at brine

I have a gorgeous recipe somewhere for garlic, potato and coconut curry. It is utterly divine. Contains whole cloves of garlic, all soft and melting

TooTicky · 20/01/2008 21:28

To every veg, turnip, turnip, turnip,
There is a season, turnip, turnip, turnip,
And a time for every portion up to eleven.
A time to eat corn, a time for veg pie,
A time to plant, a time to reap/eat?
A time for dill, a time to peel,
A time for lettuce, a time for neep.

Or something.

TooTicky · 20/01/2008 21:33

MrsCarrot · 20/01/2008 21:37

FrannyandZooey · 20/01/2008 21:38

what was it

OP posts:
OverRated · 20/01/2008 21:40

Yes, spill the beans

MrsCarrot · 20/01/2008 21:43

I didn't say it was good or marvellous, just that it contained intestines and Pan says thats all we talk about and Zippi wanted rasberries and rhubarb, anyway

Oranges and Lemons keep your bowels citrus smelling...
The rhubarb smells nasty, rudely pinker than raspberries...

MrsCarrot · 20/01/2008 21:46
ZippiBabes · 20/01/2008 21:46

I'm liking it Mrs C!

FrannyandZooey · 20/01/2008 21:54

yes i thought it was v clever and a bit ooh and a bit earthy

"rudely pinker than raspberries" was very evocative

OP posts:
ZippiBabes · 20/01/2008 21:56

go on have it then you can always ban it immedately as the boss

OverRated · 20/01/2008 21:57

lol

I like Mrs C's

MrsCarrot · 20/01/2008 21:58

It was 100 who said her rhubarb was rude. I bought and baked some today but left them in the oven too long. They looked like perfect pink shells but collapsed on being touched. I managed to get a bit of a crumble out of them though.

I like Toot's turnips too.

FrannyandZooey · 20/01/2008 21:59

what am i having and what am I banning? Do I ban stuff a lot do you think? I didn't think I had had a banning phase for a while now

OP posts:
pinkspottywellies · 20/01/2008 22:02

I love it MrsC but rhubarb doesn't smell nasty How about the rhubarb smells marv'lous?

MrsCarrot · 20/01/2008 22:04

maybe nasty is a bit strong, nut it is a weird smell, no?

MrsCarrot · 20/01/2008 22:04
