For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 20/01/2008 21:09

TITLES PLEASE

while we are waiting for MrsCarrot

OP posts:
lionheart · 20/01/2008 21:11

Why are we waiting?

lionheart · 20/01/2008 21:13

Is there to be a sacrifice?

OverRated · 20/01/2008 21:14

I just can't do titles. I'm not at all witty.

Do we have a theme? Other than F&V, obviously

TooTicky · 20/01/2008 21:15

What is wrong with garlic?

FrannyandZooey · 20/01/2008 21:15

other than F+V, no

it is often a song or other pop culture reference

then we bicker about who gets it and who doesn't

MrsC said she had made up a really good one last week. I want to know what it is. No pressure

nothing. Nothing at all. It's a very fine food indeed.

I can never understand why garlicky breath is offensive. I think it just smells garlicky. And if one has eaten garlic, particularly raw garlic, then one is allowed smugness over anyone who complains.

pinkspottywellies · 20/01/2008 21:19

Does nobody eat those whole garlic cloves? They're in a jar in some brine or something and they're not raw and you can eat loads.

OverRated · 20/01/2008 21:20

Oh hello PSW

am thinking
