For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

FrannyandZooey · 20/01/2008 18:49

I am enjoying the music on that trailer very much. It looks the sort of film I would olike but I suspect DH will dismiss it for not having enough explosions in it

I did persuade him to watch American beauty with me the other night, which to his chagrin, he liked..

fullmoonfiend · 20/01/2008 18:53

agh sit down everyone I have some stunning news!

ds2 ate 2 peices of red cabbage for the first time ever he deigned to try it. AND....

has aksed if he can some more tomorrow night!

ahundredtimes · 20/01/2008 18:54

[sits down in amazement] Way to go ds2.

Get me, with the way to gos.

I have just looked it is out Feb 1st. Oh it's a lovely film, you must all go and see, especially Franny.

fullmoonfiend · 20/01/2008 18:58

sorry for terrible typibng these days.
After a lifetime of pedantry, I cannot touch type any more and I cannot be bothered to check.

Actusally, I probably shared that red cabbage snippet with the wrong audience....Let me explain. both my boys are neo-phobic especially when it comes to trying new foods. So it really is a huge deal!

OverRated · 20/01/2008 19:18

Yay - well done DS2. I love red cabbage

onebatmother · 20/01/2008 19:47

when it was a marxist druggy small place

dog sounds jolly fun

hideous kinky is a nice morrocco film

see ref to marxist druggy small place above

i had a quite funny extremeley mudy walk for six miles..a slurpy sllooshy one with a very blasty wind from tring station to ivinghoe beacon

then had a we are going to be mistaken for doggers time in tring cp

so an amusing day

i have the most tangled hair in the universe

oh the pub where we had lunch was weird...it was quite full but of grin and taciturn people tho they were families

i seemed to be the only one speaking

FrannyandZooey · 20/01/2008 20:12

LOL 'mistaken for doggers'. That's a euphemism if ever I heard one

100 how strange, I just got an email from 18 y o friend who works in cinema (non-stop free tickets) saying would I like to go to see Juno in half term? It was great as I could say ooh YES instead of ooh WHAT?

ZippiBabes · 20/01/2008 20:14

well we had only been tehere about 5 minutes when someone flashhed their lights at us

so got slightly paranoid then lol

FrannyandZooey · 20/01/2008 20:15

oh AND

Greeny has finally got off her shiftless jangly bottom and sorted out coming to stay, hoorah! It is only a few weeks away. Initially she managed to book herself into the local benefits dumping ground B+B, which was an inspired move even for her, but now she has found a tweely named self catering place round the corner and I can't wait to see her mad old face again
