For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

I can eat spoonfuls of it sans anything else. I could be a hummous addict. It's only tempered by my love of cheese....

I just feel I need variety. I have had Cauldron things before, can;t quite think what.

BTW Zippi I have been on a Tesco boycott since last September. They are my nearest supermarket but are trying to take over the whole town, as they do in many other places, and I won;t support it. We also have a Tesco Extra at the top of our road and DH is banned

I did stop using supermarkets at all until just before Christmas when time got the better of me, and have used Waitrose a few times since.

Ooo, I love Tartex. I miss it.My dad usually gets me a tube for christmas (no idea why) but I didn't get one this year

V poor on f&v so far but I just made a rather yummy bread pudding from left-over Stollen I found in the freezer. Not sure what to cook for dinner.

Hummus and cheese

Tatties · 15/01/2008 19:23

FANTASTIC picture Franny!

FrayedKnot · 15/01/2008 19:32

Ooh yes, Aubergine Caviar sounds delish. Rough idea of how to make would be very appreciated, TooT, or anything similar.

I like the idea of Revelry.

I don;t do anything woolly so perhaps it would suit me more.

Boco · 15/01/2008 20:03

Lovely picture Franny - really clear

Before we move threads we should watch this, i like the bit about simply remembering your dog bites and nose cream on ponies

erm Avi if you are still talking to me I think you should move down here near me and Boco. There's a home ed community v near Boco I think.

the next scan is 20 weeks and they won't tell you the sex here. Although my friend told me a wonderful story yesterday - her ds was diagnosed as having a physical problem in the womb - they had umpteen scans trying to establish exactly what the issue was and during one of these she was tearfully asking the consultant if he would please make an exception and let them know the gender. As it would give them something else to concentrate on other than the problem, and be very comforting, etc. The consultant said "No absolutely not, it is our policy to never reveal that", but as soon as he turned away to make some notes the sonographer mouthed at them "IT'S A BOY"

FrannyandZooey · 15/01/2008 20:37

onebat no they don't

do you have a suggestion for us?

lionheart · 15/01/2008 20:38
onebatmother · 15/01/2008 20:38

it's not working yet but maybe you can work it. Is driving me mad.

"Caul-i-flower Bak-ing, Let's Give Peas A Chance"

I think the fact that I have to put the hyphens in means it's a no-goer.

FrannyandZooey · 15/01/2008 20:43

I am not too sure about that one, but it has made me think of

Cauliflower Steaming, on such a winter's day

FrannyandZooey · 15/01/2008 20:45

sorry lionheart but c'mon, you know I am right

Boco · 15/01/2008 20:47

Did we ever had 'twisting my melons man?' Wasn't that alway on hold.
like cauliflower steaming

FrannyandZooey · 15/01/2008 20:48

yes I like cauliflower steaming but it is rather simple compared to some epics we have had lately

Boco I liked your post about post-modernism

lionheart · 15/01/2008 20:48

ho-ha-diddy dum ....< Ah distraction >

That scan picture is awfully clear Franny (and lovely).

FrannyandZooey · 15/01/2008 20:51

I will behave now sorry

lionheart · 15/01/2008 20:51
