For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Baby is trying to signal that it wants huge amounts of cheese, F&Z

Tatties · 14/01/2008 20:44

Avi I have registered on Ravelry but I haven't done anything there yet! I wondered about you today (whether you were away). Will you still be able to go?

Franny that's early to feel the baby isn't it! How many weeks are you now? I am for you

FrannyandZooey · 14/01/2008 20:58

is it early? am 15 and a bit weeks and my stomach muscles are like rice pudding so it is hardly surprising

(p.s. it got very energetic for chocolate )

MrsCarrot · 14/01/2008 21:05

I am so unfit. Actually, I quite enjoyed it and I found a cage of a sports bra so they stayed put. There really is no mystery to my breasts on here anymore is there.

Franny - How lovely! It is a magical feeling isn't it, I didn't realise you were that far. It's very exciting.

FrannyandZooey · 14/01/2008 21:12

[doubt] do you think it was just cheese related?

it seemed very clearly not wind

ZippiBabes · 14/01/2008 21:14

i'm a libertarian without the thathcerite bit

i don't see the problem with fb to be honest it is just the same as tescos

well so that's quite a lot wrong but pretty hard to maintain your autonomy these days

i use the good bits and ignore the rest

i think mumsnet has more of my personal info than anyone else in the world including me in their archives

MrsCarrot · 14/01/2008 21:19

what did the guardian say about fb?

Franny - you know it wasn't wind. I felt movement around 14/15 weeks the second time I think.

Boco · 14/01/2008 21:21

Movements Franny - that's just too exciting! It's wonderful those little fluttering acrobatics.

I'm sorry to keep bringing up the goat erotica Mrs, it just seems to be everywhere at the moment.

I think that facebook will peak and then wain as it's essentially a bit annoying, and i'm wanting to remove 75% of the people as they keep sending me really horrible chain things that are either dull or wrong. But I still love drawing the graffiti. I don't think i'll be brainwashed into drinking coke while doing it, or buying stuff. Isn't Tom Hodgkinson the idler fellow? I think i have a book by him about how to be lazy. He's right - but the stuff about being on a computer instead of at the pub doesn't work when you live in the middle of nowhere with children - so it's the same as mumsnet really - not everyone has the opportunity to spend time physically with their friends - so as long as it's not a replacement for real people, it has its (maybe passing) uses.

MrsCarrot · 14/01/2008 21:36

I have it set so that I don't get all those chain thingies and I couldn't bear all the videos so I stopped that too. I barely go on it tbh but I do tend to use that instead of e-mailing some people.

100 - we like Courtney too. John Burningham is one of my favourite childrens authors, I love his illustrations. My favourites are The magic bed, Cannonball simp and Borka. He went to Summerhill I believe.

you can't delete your details, really? That seems a bit odd.

FrannyandZooey · 14/01/2008 21:52

is anyone feeling creative and decisive and title-inspired?

MrsCarrot · 14/01/2008 21:53

I only came up with the midsummer night bum one

Zippi wants raspberries

Tatties, I am on Ravelry. I am very easy to find I haven't really explored it much yet.

OR, that was a very good bike analysis. Very good indeed. Technical things turn my brain to scrambled tofu these days.

with just a wee hint of amicable at your baby flutters Franny.
Not that I want to be pregnant, really, I just feel so nostalgic.

lol @ all these people who can't remember their DC's ages! I am sure it won't be long before I do the same. I have been known to call him the wrong name

Lovely to hear about Franny's baby moving. How exciting!

How did you all get on Ravelry? I am one of the 6000+ on the waiting list. It is very exclusive.

I had a fab day for fruit & veg. I just ate dried dragon fruit.

OverRated · 15/01/2008 04:11

I do think a new thread title should be Rhubarb related. All I can come up with is "We all live in a Yellow Aubergine, a yellow aubergine, a yellow aubergine..."

ZippiBabes · 15/01/2008 08:04

what is ravelry

iactually trust facebook more with my details than the british government that's foir sure

FrannyandZooey · 15/01/2008 08:55

Have had world's second largest pear and some kiwis and raisins for breakfast

If anyone is constipated, may I recommend curly kale? If you are not constipated, may I recommend you stay the fuck away from it. It is vicious and I thought I had been in some terrible hairball type incident this morning.

Oh knitting! I thought it was some kind of internet fantasy role play site you were all involved in.

It's gale force and rainy here and my drive is a mud slide. I've eaten blueberries.

MrsCarrot · 15/01/2008 10:33

It did sound fantasy like, I was thining of that chldrens programme, Raven.

My left thigh is still wobbly, I think it is in shock from the run.
