For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

With much of it I'm not sure your farts will make much difference. But maybe i'm doing it wrong.

ahundredtimes · 14/01/2008 15:03

Here, welcome, sit, we have lentils and lychees, we have singing and swaying.

ahundredtimes · 14/01/2008 15:04
Boco · 14/01/2008 15:07

Stop swaying a minute and look what Pan said about us all yesterday -

'Well..judge for yourself..either they are immensely bored with life, or they have WAY too much time on their hands to account for the content of their intestines....'

Well, actually, in my case there may be a bit of truth to that - the too much time on hands bit, i'm trying to do my tax return but it's scaring me so i'm hiding behind 100 to see what rhubarb is going to do to the health food and if she'll be won over by the swaying.

GM Rhubarb I presume, with processed chicken contamination.

is it just me or is there something wrong with that sentence? Should be 'for them to' or 'want to', it sort of means we don't want to examine the contents of our intestines, which of course we do.

Lets make a title from that sentence, we need a new thread. I am eating crisps at the moment and can't think.

I am allergic to dogs and cats so no furry friends here. We did have a guinea pig but a fox ate him.

Sorry to crash
Wanted to tell you that, every day, your thread titles have cheered me.

ZippiBabes · 14/01/2008 17:52

can we have a title for raspberries

filthymindedvixen · 14/01/2008 18:07

what thread was pan slagging us off on???

Boco · 14/01/2008 18:09

Well i was probably bad to put that out of context as it was a thread where he was trying to have a fight on purpose, in a messing around way, so i don't think it was serious.

Oh facebook shmacebook. What will happen? What security will be breeched? So, someone might find out your scrabble score and use it against you? I'm bored of it now anyway.

onebatmother · 14/01/2008 18:09

it was fight club. I 'ad 'im.

ZippiBabes · 14/01/2008 18:10

ZippiBabes · 14/01/2008 18:11

filthymindedvixen · 14/01/2008 18:14

ah. well can I not just and give 'im a slaaap anyway?

onebatmother · 14/01/2008 18:18

you're quite right Zippi. Exception is nights out, when I put on a clingy dress and very, very small high heels.

MrsCarrot · 14/01/2008 18:21

I wonder if we could get a title to have raspberries and intestines, that would be a challenge.

pinkspottywellies · 14/01/2008 18:24

I don't do pets. DH thinks no child should grow up without a dog

My exercise today was 2x 10 mins kneading bread! I ate pear, dried apricots, pineapple, artichokes and roasted peppers (from a jar), spinach, tomato. Probably only 5 portions. Bit rubbish. I'm swimming tomorrow and hopefully swimming in Norwich on Saturday, so I can actually swim while dsis tries not to drown dd

BOCOOOOOOOO...... you're baaaaaaack! Glad you had a lovely time and aren't too tanned!
