For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

I saw an exhibition of oranges that had been allowed to dessicate, they were all at different stages as she had started a new one each week so some were completely shrivelled and some only just beginning. It was very nice

I refuse to eat big oranges. You just can't peel them and then there is all that pith nonsense on them. Ds was eating one this morning and choked on the fibrous bits of the segment after having chewed all the juice out of it. He was doing the whole

Bee, I love what you said about satsumas being sluts.

I have been to 3 Christmas plays, been a taxi, delivered stuff and made biscuits and cake for toddler group party tomorrow.
I haven't eaten much though.

MrsCarrot · 18/12/2007 22:29

Blimey, Franny, how big are your stocings if you can fit in a melon, pineapple and cocnut? We have a satsumer and an apple.

Salmon for breafast, with fruit and champagne, prob a few chocolate coins/ladybird/fish etc.

Normal turey/trimmings then maybe cheese/fruit later if not too stuffed. I lie Boxing day food better usually.

MrsCarrot · 18/12/2007 22:30

Where are my Ks? [shoc]

MrsCarrot · 18/12/2007 22:31

MrsCarrot · 18/12/2007 22:32

Toot - I loved that analogy too, slutty satsumers. Very good.

MrsCarrot · 18/12/2007 22:32

I am going to bed with my poor head.
