For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Savaged by a swede? Persecuted by a parsnip? That'd be a turnip for the books....

ha now back to the relative bizarreness of the 10/10 i guess i should make some food for myself..lully don't tell will you lol

ahundredtimes · 23/11/2007 21:38

Oh good Avi is here. Avi there was a conversation this morning about my disagreeing with you over Father Christmas. Franny thought I was combative and hostile and that there is no place for that in 10/10.

I read the thread, and I didn't think I was. I just disagreed with you. Did you feel the same as Franny?

FrayedKnot · 23/11/2007 22:00

LOL FMV

I survived by befriending a banana which I later betrayed by baking it in a cake.

I now have to stay up until 10.30 to wait for the cake. And the soup.

I was supposed to be going to London tomorrow to see friends but friend's DC are ill so now I am going to go Christmas Shopping which is a thinly veiled excuse for going itno town alone and eating a granola bars and drinking coffee a smoothie in my favourite cafe by myslef and reading the paper

lionheart · 23/11/2007 22:02

Heartless treatment of banana there.

TooTicky · 23/11/2007 22:18

So if I had spoken to FK at the meet up, she might have made me into cake?
Narrow escape there!

zippitippitoes · 23/11/2007 22:26

are we all chilled again now..if not then u can larf at me here...or er something

JustPossum · 23/11/2007 22:27

100x, I just thought we were having a conversation? What was combative??

Were you at Oxford? It reminded me of a supervision! Except without a glass of sherry to hand, maybe that's where we went wrong

TooTicky · 23/11/2007 22:31

It's never dull with you around is it Zippi?

ahundredtimes · 23/11/2007 22:31

Oh I thought we were too Possum. But Franny thought I was out of order, and was asking people to defend their parenting decisions in a way that inappropriate.

Then I flounced. In high heels, I hasten to add, out of the church hall.

But then I thought, I should come back and ask you and Avi if you felt it was combative and I was picking apart your parenting or whatever and if I had made you uncomfortable, because if I did, then I should apologise.

zippitippitoes · 23/11/2007 22:32

well it is really but i make the best of a bda job

JustPossum · 23/11/2007 22:33

Zippi, you sound like one cool grandma!

zippitippitoes · 23/11/2007 22:33

sadly both the baby and the fruit are plastic

TooTicky · 23/11/2007 22:34

Don't flounce again 100x. I was worried for a bit. But then you kept bursting back in and I realised you have passed the point where you can leave voluntarily

zippitippitoes · 23/11/2007 22:34

probably get a plastic baby if you have sex with plastic tho lol
