For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

MrsCarrot · 23/11/2007 11:10

You could set your clocks and post 'line drawn' at exactly the same time.

God, I'm winking again. I am going to do something constructive with my day.

FrannyandZooey · 23/11/2007 11:11

lullabyloo · 23/11/2007 11:15

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
He is always moaning that he has no family time,no time with ds,has to work weekends, cant join in with the things I do with ds...blah blah
Firstly...even though he has had a whole week off being ill & feeble & demanding & doing nothing.....he will not take an hour off to watch ds be a donkey in his play...ds is very
Secondly,I booked the Snowman late in December on a non working weekend as something nice & festive we could all do together & told dh so he could put it in his diary.
This morning he mentions going biking on that day..I remind him of the booked outing...he fumes & says 'Why do I have to come?' & 'Just dont book anything else for me,I need time to do my own thing'

frothykindofadrink · 23/11/2007 11:17

oh for you

tell him to get stuffed

puncture his tyres

really I will come over and do it for you

filthymindedvixen · 23/11/2007 11:23

do you know, I think we (as humans, not we as 10/10nners) are all attention-seeking in some way or another. Even when people go out of their way to avoid being attention-seeking, it is sometimes just a way of drawing attention to the fact that they are not seeking attention, see?

The fact that we post and don't lurk is also a bit of a give-away, no?

So, here, I'm, giving you attention 100. You're allowed it, you deserve it and you should take it....

Right. I've had melon and a banana today. Anyone else?

filthymindedvixen · 23/11/2007 11:25

ah. Time has moved on a lot between me writing thast post and me sending it I see...

LL, allow me to poke him in the stomach with my much-used and very versatile banana. Mrs C has eschewed it for the curing of warts. Gibbon was offered it but fled in fear of its health-giving properties. Shame to waste it....

frothykindofadrink · 23/11/2007 11:26

oh yes we could fruit him to death

I've got a mahooosive watermelon we could drop on him from a second storey window

lullabyloo · 23/11/2007 11:27

he'd probably enjoy it though fmf (do I have to call you fmv again?)

littlerach · 23/11/2007 11:28

Lullaby, I owuld be too.

I cannot coment on F&V - again!!
But I ma sure I have had soem.
Yes, some left over veegies became soup yesterday. And salad for supper.

And I do agree with FMF, or whatever initials yuo are currently!! Attention seeking isn't always negative. I don't htink? Puzzled now as to what I mean.

Full moon, you know! PMT in the Little household. And no chocolate again!

lullabyloo · 23/11/2007 11:30

I shall leave his fate in your capable fruity hands
bearing in mind though that he has no life insurance & we would be sent straight to the workhouse
oh well...

filthymindedvixen · 23/11/2007 11:37

you can call me fumf! it's just that fumf was a little too trackable for a thread i started yesterday.

IdrisTheDragon · 23/11/2007 11:44

Does anyone not gather clutter in every possible space? I am only trying to tidy one bookshelf in the kitchen and yet things keep turning up everywhere.

at all the things in the DragonHouse

frothykindofadrink · 23/11/2007 11:46

oh you need flylady Idris

really she is brilliant if insane and over-friendly

filthymindedvixen · 23/11/2007 11:51

blardy flylady only works if you are at full time [pah]

I will have to spend the whole weekend tidying and removing shoite after being away last weekend.

gizmo · 23/11/2007 11:52

Well, I feel I have made it to the 10/10 big time. I AM ILL!!!

Horrible shivery, headachy virus-y thing-y. Too weak to mumsnet yesterday just lay under duvet and read Pride and Prejudice for the 15th time. Unoriginal.

Anyhooo, Lully I think your husband is winning Arse of the day today - surely there is time for him to do both things - biking and the snowman?

I will now eat a banana. My head might explode. Stand clear.

frothykindofadrink · 23/11/2007 11:52

no that is not true I work and do flylady

well obv am not doing either at the moment am sitting on arse Being Poorly but still

usually I do

Tatties · 23/11/2007 11:54

Morning all

Lully for you

So it is full moon tomorrow then? I'm so glad my cycle has moved on because I don't seem quite so affected by it this month

gizmo · 23/11/2007 11:55

Idris I sympathise. Sometimes I just wonder if it wouldn't be easier to post a notice on Freecycle saying 'come and help yourself. To anything. No, seriously.'

With a heavy heart I have nominated this weekend the prechristmas de-toy.

This means I have to enter the boy lair of DS1's bedroom, remove the teetering piles of plastic crap from all the shelving units and sort through it for all broken/unplayed with/unidentifiable toys. Then spend ages negotiating with DS.

My life force is draining away....

filthymindedvixen · 23/11/2007 12:00

Hellooo Tatties! Fullmoon tomorrow, yup. Hence me feeling full of neuroses and over-sensitivity yesterday. Ho hum. Still, at least I'll hvae a tidy house tomorrow

lullabyloo · 23/11/2007 13:53

ds has gone to bed voluntarily
dh has gone out
PEACE
I have veg stew in the oven for supper
We had warm lentil salad for lunch

Ds's pintoy wooden firestation arrived..they have sent two accessory packs by mistake.....is anyone else ordering the firestation....would anyone like it?
