For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Boco You're Worth It

Boco · 28/11/2007 14:47

What Would You Do?

Gibb · 28/11/2007 14:48

Vote here for go Boco.

Life is too short and must be grabbed with both hands.

If you and your friend can agree a timescale to pay the money back by and your both happy, sod being sensible!

Boco · 28/11/2007 14:53

Oh it would be great. Sea and sun! I'm writing a for and against list. Covering up the 'against' column because it's very very long and serious, and the 'for' list just has a picture of a beach.

Gibb · 28/11/2007 14:54

Do it!!!!!!

btw

frothykindofadrink · 28/11/2007 15:02

do you get lots of holidays?

if yes don't go

if the answer is 'what are holidays?' then you know what you should do

Boco · 28/11/2007 15:15

No didn't go on holiday this year at all.

MrsCarrot · 28/11/2007 15:21

Don't bother with for and against lists FGS!! You must go.

This is a perfect opportunity for you and the girls to get a well deserved and needed break. Think of the illness you have all had. What did they used to do in olden times? Convalesce, that's what, by the sea. Oh yes. Taking a turn about the waters, swimming, eating, drinking, relaxing.

Live in the moment, plenty of time for sensible thoughts about finances later, now you must sensible thoughts about health and sanity.

Gibb · 28/11/2007 15:24

Hear hear MrsC!

MrsCarrot · 28/11/2007 15:25

I won't hear of you not going you know. I have a vision of you packing and I have confidence in that vision.

MrsCarrot · 28/11/2007 15:29

I will buy you these and then all you need is a bikini.

Gibb · 28/11/2007 15:29

Man I miss holidays

Must go away next year for sure

MrsCarrot · 28/11/2007 15:32

I booked next years beach holiday in October. This is also completely unheard of for me just like wrapping Christmas presents in November. It must be because I am 30.

Gibb · 28/11/2007 15:34

DH and I were only saying last night we must go away.

Haven't missed it as much as I thought (DH's work used to take us on fab trips) but now it's been a couple of years am itching to feel sun and warm breeze...

MrsCarrot · 28/11/2007 15:35

but, but, all the good cottages in cornwall that are near the sea are all booked up already, they are. It's not me being sensible, it's well, it's, um, organised.

I never thought I would be organised.

Gibb · 28/11/2007 15:35

where are you off to MrsC?

MrsCarrot · 28/11/2007 15:45

Cornwall, quite near the end near Sennen, has lovely white sand and blue sea.

Gibb · 28/11/2007 15:50

Cornwall some of my best memories..it's stunning there.
We were thinking of a few of us renting a place there next year.

lucky you

Gibb · 28/11/2007 15:53

in a lovely way of course

MrsCarrot · 28/11/2007 16:02

That's a goode idea, sharing with friends, if you get on well of course!

Have a look at some of these luxury places. I don't know anyone who can afford them but they look so nice, we can dream.

lullabyloo · 28/11/2007 16:13
