For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

What's an epipen?

MrsCarrot · 25/11/2007 20:18

emergency adrenalin

Manchita - have a glass of wine if you want one. I am.

Boco · 25/11/2007 20:19

Oh dear I don't want to worry about the inside. Now i'm stressed because i'm worrying about the inside and the outside!

Zippi that's good that you don't need an epipen anymore.
I want to live in a tank of aloe vera and evening primrose and just float about. I'm still talking about it.

zippitippitoes · 25/11/2007 20:19

an epipen is adrenalin for injecting if you have anaphylaxis ...you carry it round all the time as it is essential to act immediately

MrsCarrot · 25/11/2007 20:21

Sorry, Boco, I mean take care of yourself holistically rather than just trying to identify an external skin cause.

Er, don't worry about the inside then, but be kind to yourself. And drink donkey arse juice.

zippitippitoes · 25/11/2007 20:21

could be hormone imbalance

zippitippitoes · 25/11/2007 20:22

think I am in village pump mode..or is it les dawson mode

MrsCarrot · 25/11/2007 20:25

eh?

Boco · 25/11/2007 20:26

what is donkey arse juice?

zippitippitoes · 25/11/2007 20:26

just yacketty yack my theories

Boco · 25/11/2007 20:27

I like all your suggestions Zippi. I'm noting them down. I have latex allergy, washing powder allergy, wrong on the inside and outside and hormonally imbalanced. I think that's about right actually.

zippitippitoes · 25/11/2007 20:31

lol i am just trying not to text that fella who doesn't text unless he is arranging something but i am having difficulties resisting..even tho i know he won't even look to see

and i am not doing my accounts which occurs every three months i come on mn and faff about how i hate doing them and i witter on about it until the next time

and i have to sort them but i just can't get motivated until i end up staying up all night

MrsCarrot · 25/11/2007 20:33

donkey arse juice = aloe vera

Zippi - I like it when you witter but I don't always understand what you mean

zippitippitoes · 25/11/2007 20:35

mrs c don't worry people often haven't a clue what i'm talking about

i find this on msn quite often
as well as on here and er

even in my own house

MrsCarrot · 25/11/2007 20:38

Oh, I have a clue, I just don't always exactly know because I am a bit thick by the evening and often say eh? to myself as I read something. I need ABC mnet when I'm tired.

FrannyandZooey · 25/11/2007 20:57

I had a big stir fry full of vegetables, which dp cooked and now we are all full of wind and holding our bellies

don't know wtf was wrong with it, but something in there has not agreed with us

there Boco that makes your rash sound positively palatable

FrayedKnot · 25/11/2007 21:11

We've been up to Lunnon again to see friends (should have been yesterday but postponed 'til today due to sick children)

It was lovely but I have eaten pasta, garlic bread, ready made puddings, and drunk wine.

None of these things agree with me or were 10/10 at all (although did eat green salad with pasta) and I will suffer tomorrow I expect but had a lovely time, so it was worth it.

Very of friends' lovely house and have spent the last hour looking at property porn.

FrayedKnot · 25/11/2007 21:13

How many times did I say "lovely" in that post

manchita · 25/11/2007 21:18

Where is Lunnon?

pinkspottywellies · 25/11/2007 21:30

You know Manchita - Laaaaandan.

pinkspottywellies · 25/11/2007 21:33

I had pears in my porridge, orange juice and raisins for breakfast. Spag bol at lunchtime with peppers, onion, mushrooms and lentils in. Twas very yummy and dh didn't mention the lentils just said it was really nice! Had lettuce, cucumber and tomato with dinner but probably only one portion. Urg, that's only about 5 or 6. Will do better tomorrow.

Boco, hope you sort out your rash. And well done for keeping on with the vile birthday table thing.

I am a laaaaaandaner/lunnener!

manchita · 25/11/2007 21:59

Where in London did you go?

FrayedKnot · 25/11/2007 22:14

To Putney, Manchita

I don;t really class it as 'Lunnon' though...

'Lunnon' is somehwere within the sound of Bow Bells I think, where people eat pie and mash, and wear pearly coats, and talk about apples and pears...

Oh, a bit like 10/10 really (wihtout the pies)
