For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

those healthy drinks looked quite funny especially the apple juice looked positively magicians nephew

TooTicky · 19/11/2007 23:11

I have read everything TWICE and I still can't remember what I was going to say.

Everybody was delightful, of course. I think I was shyer of some people than others.

Franny, sorry if it sounded as if I was criticising your accent! It was just surprising in the way that finding out that people have real names is surprising and slightly unsettling.

What a shame we all live so far apart.

I'm tired and my brain is gently solidifying.

Fmf, email me anyway

Oh, and Franny didn't seem as tall as she is. I'd forgotten that she was tall. She must just have a very kind way of not towering.

I am going to go to bed now and stop talking to myself

Hello all! I'm still experimenting with the veg available in the shops here in Bermuda.

Had buttercup squash tonight - cut in half, scooped out the seeds and baked it then scooped out the flesh and mashed it. It was far too rich on it's own so we've mixed it up with mashed potato, garlic, a little chili sauce and a teaspoon of curry powder, salt and pepper.

Yummy and a good way to sneak an extra portion of veg in.

I heart you too Boco, I so wanted to have a proper chat with you, and felt that I was constantly being distracted by DS, and making sure DD and DP were ok. DP did the quietly being in a corner thing he does when he feels a bt shy, so was a bit worried he wasn't enoying himself, but he was fine, just feeling a bit poorly sick.

TooT, I felt like I hardly said a thing to you, I wish we'd had more time, and I didn't talk to Franny's DP or DS, or BBeee or even properly to Mrs C who was, you're right franny, coolly glamourous, with an extremely self posessed and charming DD.

TooT your DD1 has the most wonderful face, confident, and intelligent and interestiing as well as beautiful.

Moony,

You are so slim and beautiful, I can't beleive you have a 10 year old!

Thanks for helping out so much with DS, I am so glad we got to chat a bit, and can't wait to come up to your home town so we can have a drink and chat properly

anyone read the ionterpretation of murder? i am on that at the mo

IdrisTheDragon · 20/11/2007 06:58

TooT I have emailed you (at last )

FrannyandZooey · 20/11/2007 08:08

Morning

ah you see TooT when I read the posts about my accent, they had already been teasing me about it here ("everyone is on the thread saying you have a funny accent" type thing)

and this was before I had eaten the 8 croissants so it did not go down very well

Moony then kindly explained that she thought my actual voice was ok because she thought I was going to sound really annoying

I considered taking breakfast Elsewhere

FrannyandZooey · 20/11/2007 08:09

I am eating apple and pear and grapes and raisins. I am slowly building up to the level of my previous breakfast glories.

Is anyone else feeling slightly flat after all the excitement?

lionheart · 20/11/2007 08:10

It is the merest lilt, Franny. It says, I have travelled, I have been places. I have roved.

FrannyandZooey · 20/11/2007 08:12

LOL I have roved from Sussex to Essex and stayed there

Franny the great traveller

oh btw yes didn't ds have great timing. I have since revised my opinion about bpc games of course after meeting your very charming and not at all traumatised ds.

FrannyandZooey · 20/11/2007 08:13

bpc games? I meant pc games

lionheart · 20/11/2007 08:14

You were very tactful, "Oh! There's a thread about that".

lionheart · 20/11/2007 08:19

It's o.k. I only let him have 15 minute slots and we have to play it together.

We can never manage to get out of the first level in that time.

So, we've been floundering around in a cave for about a week.

lionheart · 20/11/2007 08:21

We may not finish it by the time he is 12.

FrannyandZooey · 20/11/2007 08:51

LOL lionheart

I am mooning around. We were meant to be going to visit friend and new baby today, but they aren't well, and I swopped ds's nursery session so we could go, and now it is pissing down

harrumph

lionheart · 20/11/2007 09:10

You have baskets and ropes.

Alpine adevntures are to be had. Or alpine rescue.

The duvet can be the snow, you can snuggle under and your DS can do the work.

Boco · 20/11/2007 09:41

I hate my computer. Now i can't email and it keeps crashing. I will be very sad with no computer, i know i keep going on and on about it and then turning up anyway, but it is Bad News for me.

Waiting for dr to call me back about dd2 as there are no appointments available and she's still coughing and wheezing. Wondering if it's asthma now.

fullmoonfiend · 20/11/2007 09:42

The thread was very funny last night I notice...(er, because i wasn't contributing? )

I keep looking at the picture i took of the Yard outside, and sighing wistfully...
over all the colourful windows, and funky masks and twinkly lights and cute waiters having crafty fags and things ...

I have no equivilant place here.

I wish you could all come and tea with me.

fullmoonfiend · 20/11/2007 09:43

Boco Poor wee thing.

FrannyandZooey · 20/11/2007 09:45

I think the Yard is our spiritual home

I will make arrangements for the thread to be moved there forthwith

we can always have Avi island as our summer home, and hang out in the city during the winter when we need extra cake for insulation

womblingalong · 20/11/2007 09:51

Ooh,

Realised last night after I'd signed off that I had forgotten to say thank you to Franny for organising the day, it was lovely, and I was sad that I couldn't have stayed on for the evening (except for the cheese & slurry sausages obv).

Franny, Lion is right is a great day for adventures on the sofa, you could be pirates on the high seas with the sofa as a boat too, you could be the hostage (tied up on the boat), and DS could do all the work again.

When we got on the Tube to come on Sun, we were on a carriage with about 10 people dressed as pirates with a ship made out of cardboard boxes, fighting with cutlasses, and DD was transfixed, and asked where they were on the way back, bless her.

Lionheart, is DP still away?

womblingalong · 20/11/2007 09:54

Boco , how crappy.

If no joy from Doc, can you call NHS Direct or take her to doc and demand to be seen? I did think of suggesting go to A&E, but would that be overkill do you think?

FrannyandZooey · 20/11/2007 09:57

ah, you have all forgotten I don't much like playing

we are doing some clay stuff atm, it is ok

we are tired anyway so maybe good to have a morning slouching at home
