For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Boco · 19/11/2007 22:04

It's a slippery slope Avi, you'll be throwing sheep on facebook next and adding applications. Actually i'm considering removing you so that you can't observe how much of my life i waste on facebook!

IdrisTheDragon · 19/11/2007 22:04

Franny, it is consdiereing a perfectly good word of mine.....for much too long

IdrisTheDragon · 19/11/2007 22:05

Argh - I have started three games with you Avi.

Sorry

FrannyandZooey · 19/11/2007 22:06

oh I keep wanting to talk about the food

you know that meal TooT had and loved, well me and dp shared one like it too and it was very odd. There was kind of flavoured sand all around this big mound of dark grey stuff. Then the scary fried bananas which upset me to be frank. The bit I liked (I thought was like a long hash brown) TooT now tells me is called finger tapioca! I don't feel well...

we also had the mixed salad with the dressing which I love, and a pizza which was really very good, and the parmesan bread and the tomato bread. And the berry thing for pudding - was ace. Ds cried because he wanted me to come and see his swirly twirly ice cream and I was talking to Bee instead

I don't know why we ordered it

it sounded interesting

dp loved it actually and TooT obviously was in ecstasy so it was good I had some pizza and salad to console myself with

I do like the food there, even the cake, although I am sorry some people got Dry Hard Cake. I am LOL at the waiter saying to Pink "no seriously, don't have it, it isn't very nice".

yes I think MrsC had Hard Cake. She was probably flirting with the waiter at the crucial moment and he forgot to tell her it was nasty. He told Pink and Mr Pink.

zippitippitoes · 19/11/2007 22:15

FrannyandZooey · 19/11/2007 22:18

Boco · 19/11/2007 22:19

I had the same as you Zippi, coffee at lunch and wine in the evening. I didn't have cake because i was fretting about dd and walk in centres and if i should have been somewhere else being a responsible parent.

Boco · 19/11/2007 22:20

yes, the tv flummoxed me. I had to get my friend to show me.
