For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

SauerKraut · 19/11/2007 08:23

They had me going there for a minute!
Sausages slurry and all! Well, a few of us have been skiing in cocktail dresses only LL and her ds seem to have passed their lurgy on to me and dd3 from their sanatorium in the alps, we are sneezing in our pjs with glands the size of oranges.

ahundredtimes · 19/11/2007 08:47

LOL @ Avi in the foyer on her laptop, and Franny in the dining-room.

It's like dispatches from the front.

womblingalong · 19/11/2007 10:30

hello veggers,

i'm back from the big smoke, full of cake!

lullabyloo · 19/11/2007 10:33

waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah.....I missed Franny
& I am sure your accent is divine by the way

Ds actually slept last night & seems to be on the mend
I had to struggle to a hosp appointment at 9.00 & am off for my B12 injection in a minute

Enjoy the rest of your time together chaps

MoaningMirtle · 19/11/2007 10:36

what is your accent Franny?

anyway accents are only what people from somewhere else think you have

usually somewhere inferior and characterless

frothykindofadrink · 19/11/2007 10:38

sorry that last post was me

I forgot to change it from my other hiding-out name that I used to post last night about my duvet disaster

I am not actually so good at being covert

Paper aeroplanes and paper hats seem to work wonders.

Sorry I didn't get the chance to talk to you properly avi.

lionheart · 19/11/2007 12:13

Your DS is cute, though.

IdrisTheDragon · 19/11/2007 12:17

Did anyone talk properly to anyone?

lionheart · 19/11/2007 12:31

It went a bit quieter after the cakes arrived.

IdrisTheDragon · 19/11/2007 12:35

That makes sense .

Can I have full details of cakes please .

MrsCarrot · 19/11/2007 12:40

I'm not sure they did, Idris, except to the people sitting opposite or something. I hardly spoke to FMF, Bee, Avi and Lionhart as they were up the other end, though I popped up there a bit. Pink and I did some highchair swapping! I wish I had been able to go out in the evening as I think it would have been easier to chat then, a smaller group, no awol babies eating shoes and looking for plug sockets and so on.

I enjoyed it but it was quite surreal. I found myself looking out at everyone and feeling strangely detached like I could hear myself speaking and I was aware of it. I think it was a bit like a children's party where you vaguely know people but you sort of don't and you're chatting while watching the children and it's bright and noisy and you're trying to eat amongst the distractions and so on.

The food was gorgeous, I kept forgetting to eat mine so brought it home. DD was still talking about her swirly mango and chocolate ice-cream when she got home and she adored Toot's DD, whom, I might add, had the most amazing boots and great sense of style. I liked her a lot, and Toot, who reminded me of Winona Ryder but with blue eyes.

It was intense but good fun. I definitely think an outdoor picnic thing would be fab, then the dc's could run around and we could lie on the grass and drink wine and have bare feet and roll to each other to chat rather than inching round the tables.

Hooray to Franny for organising it all. Thanks

ahundredtimes · 19/11/2007 12:53

I knew TooT's dd was the tops.

TooTicky · 19/11/2007 13:01

Dd1 is bemused and amazed by the compliments

Oh 100x, the parcel came.... thank you!
The satsuma made me and then dd1 hijacked it.
Dd2 was so taken with the clothes that she had to put some on straight away. I'll pop a photo on later.

Oh, and there is nothing wrong with Franny's accent - it was just unexpected. I'd imagined her sort of accentless.
But then I imagine myself accentless and yet I have no idea what I sound like apart from the fact that occasionally when I answer the phone people ask to speak to my mummy or daddy
