For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Hello again

Well, the best bit was when they wheeled in this huge cake and Franny burst out of it wearing her fruit costume...

No, seriously, it was lovely, actually. My only regret is I didn;t get to speak to everyone and I'm very sorry TooT and Tatties and probably Lionhart as well and all I can say is we must do it again...

Anyway most of them are out now gallivanting about in real bars or soemthing

Boco, I hope DD might be a little better tonight but she did look a poorly person

ahundredtimes · 18/11/2007 20:58

Welcome Home FK.

Why didn't you speak to everyone? You should have all moved around the table or something? Did you shout? I'm pleased you had a nice time.

And Boco's dd has croup again [bustle bustle]? Oh dear.

FrayedKnot · 18/11/2007 21:03

I think we sort of ran out of time, 100.

Everyone moved around the table a lot, in fact I think most people only sat in the same place for about 10 minutes at a time. But somehow it still wasn't enough.

It was Franny who said how beautiful everyone was (they were) and it must be all the fruit & veg because everyone had lovely shiny hair and glowing eyes

No, that sounds slightly menacing, maybe it was glowing skin and sparkly eyes

lionheart · 18/11/2007 21:42

Hello.

PillockOfTheCommunity · 18/11/2007 21:44

Toooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooot!

Do tell....did you all have a lovely day?

TooTicky · 18/11/2007 22:33

LL
It was lovely.
It was scary and surprising and lovely.

I was strangely surprised by how real everybody was.
I didn't expect Franny to have an accent
There wasn't enough time and I seemed to spend most of my time sorting out children, eating or being sort of flummoxed.

Oh and POSSUM, I need to speak to you very much you darlingly nice person

TooTicky · 18/11/2007 22:34

And FK, we didn't even speak to each other the time went so quickly!
But by golly the food was nice!

A pleasure TooT, enough said on here

hunkermunker · 18/11/2007 22:38

Hello.

LL said I should come back and say hello and talk about smoothies.

It sounds like the meet-up was lovely - ROFL at glowing eyes!

I have a sore elbow because of an incident with a radiator from a height.

I have had much in the way of salad leaves, green beans, spinach, baby corn, rice (does that count? It counts today), tomatoes, avocadoes, about to eat two clementines and three apricots [bumping up total to nine] - does strawberry jam count?

ahundredtimes · 18/11/2007 22:43

Oh TooT was it great? Did dd1 have a good time?

lullabyloo · 18/11/2007 22:45

definately...jam..yes absolutely
radiator...hurt elbow...Hunker young lady what have you been up to???

Oh Toot ...I so wish I could have been there
Accent???? Our Franny????? Was it a B%$£*r one?

TooTicky · 18/11/2007 22:50

I don't know what a B%^&&$r accent is like. She has a twang.

100x, dd1 wore her new and unsuitable boots and got blisters but had fun with little Carrotgirl.

TooTicky · 18/11/2007 22:51

LL, I wish you could have been there too!

There will definitely be another one though. I fancy a nice spacious outdoorsy one.

OP posts:
lullabyloo · 18/11/2007 22:53

yes that would be lovely...a picnic in the woods

was anyone as you had imagined at all?

lullabyloo · 18/11/2007 22:54

did you have to wait until 8pm for your train?

hunkermunker · 18/11/2007 22:57

Radiator escapade

lullabyloo · 18/11/2007 23:02

Ow hunker that sounds horribly painful

TooTicky · 18/11/2007 23:08

Yes and no. People being as I imagined, that is. As I said, Franny's accent was a surprise.

OP posts:
TooTicky · 18/11/2007 23:09

Yes, our train was at 8 but we went to visit chez Franny for a bit to collapse and hide from the rain. And borrow socks.

It was as TooT said (I didn't expect an accent, either);. We must now arrange a 10/10 picnic.

I missed talking to some people, including you TooTs.
