For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Oh, cakes. They all looked and sounded divine but I'm sure I had the best one - Prestigio Cake. Chocolate and coconut and moist and delicious and VEGAN!

Had a mixed berry something or other, well, had some of it, before my DS got his mitts on it.

littlerach · 19/11/2007 13:13

Tooticky, that sounds delicious.

It all sounds wonderful.

MrsCarrot · 19/11/2007 13:27

Was that coconut one vegan? I ordered the mixed berry thing as it looked amazing but when I asked for no cream he said it was made with cream so I chose a chocolate muffin. That was a disappointment. It was dry and hard enought to play rounders with. Never mind.

TooTicky · 19/11/2007 13:33

I've just put dd2 on my profile in her new clothes courtesy of 100x

ahundredtimes · 19/11/2007 13:34

Oh good you got the parcel. And the satsuma.

Is everything in there okay? I felt bad for not putting all through the wash again before I sent it, but as I said it was post office day so that was that, had to go. I think I missed out a pair of trainers actually, but put in some school shoes instead? [scratches head] Can't remember.

MrsCarrot · 19/11/2007 13:38

She looks lovely! I was confused by the background but she's standing in a window, yes?

TooTicky · 19/11/2007 13:38

Oh goodness, do NOT worry about washing. In any case, I always have to rewash freshly washed things unless they are quite unscented.
And the school shoes will be just perfect for when ds2 when he outgrows his current ones. Or as spares for days when the puddles are just too exciting.

TooTicky · 19/11/2007 13:39

Yes, in the window. With a charming background of Wiltshire rain.

TooTicky · 19/11/2007 13:40

Oh oh oh and my shoes came today

TooTicky · 19/11/2007 13:44

MrsC, dd2 was most taken with your little ds. As we walked away she was murmuring "Byebye baby, see you later baby".

MrsCarrot · 19/11/2007 13:54

He is ill today actually, very high temp and his cough is worse. He woke loads in the night too. And dd has a friend back for tea and I have to go and see ds1's teacher after school. Dh is coming home early thank goodness.

FrayedKnot · 19/11/2007 14:02

Did Franny have an accent?

How did the evening bit go? Who went? Was it very decadent in ball gowns supping champagne?

I vote for a picnic next year, with rolling around to talk to each other

I loved that picture of your DD, TooT, can we see your shoes too?

FrayedKnot · 19/11/2007 14:08

I ordered a piece of banana cake for me, and DS told me about 5 times he didn;t want any cake, so I didn;t order him any.

When it came, DS ate the banana cake. I did have one mouthful and it was lovely.

After eating the whole lot I think I heard DS telling Avi he didn;t like it

frothykindofadrink · 19/11/2007 14:17

so

I put the kitchen heater on and the house smelled weird I thought it was dust because dh is not keeping up to the housework

later I have discovered some melted amber stuff on the floor which has obv melted right through the heater

god knows what it was that the dds posted in there

I am going to spend all day trying to think of what plastic amber thing we owned

ahundredtimes · 19/11/2007 14:17

This is getting annoying now. Most of you didn't seem to talk to most people, and none of you ate the cake.

Next time, leave the dcs at home and gambol in the woods alone.

MrsCarrot · 19/11/2007 14:23

But we did have the most amazing array of salads and the soup was divine and the bread, polenta and spicy corn was just delicious. And some of us talked quite a bit actually, so NER, with your 'getting annoying now' she-didn't-go-to-the-party-mardiness.

MrsCarrot · 19/11/2007 14:27

and we won't need to leave dc's at home for a picnic as they can gambol and frolic freely in the fields while we roll around, so double NER.

ahundredtimes · 19/11/2007 14:28

LOL

ahundredtimes · 19/11/2007 14:33

And I hope you're right MrsC. I don't want to hear any 'oh I couldn't talk to you X because dd's legs got caught in the picnic blanket, and OH I wish I'd tried Franny's banana cake but ds and dd wanted me to find a birds nest and I was left alone wandering through a wood for the entire afternoon and when I came back it was all gone. But hey, let's do it again soon!.'

TooTicky · 19/11/2007 15:56

I ate cake. Chocolate and coconut as mentioned previously. And the savoury stuff was wonderful too. I had Brazilian Fejoiada (I may have invented that spelling). There was powdery crunchy stuff which I think was farofa and an upturned pudding-shaped thing made of rice and black beans and possibly pumpkin, and finger tapioca and a fried banana. It was utterly amazing and different. I love different, as long as it's vegan.
Oh, and I had an apple, beetroot, carrot and ginger juice

TooTicky · 19/11/2007 16:01

Oh, poor tiny Carrot

FK, will post pic of shoes later

fullmoonfiend · 19/11/2007 16:14

I ate cake... i had the berry one and it was berry nice (ho, ho,ho)

MrsC - the birthday party analogy is a good one!
I am actually missing you all. I got home about 15 mins ago and there is nothing for tea and nothing has been done round the house. And I'd like to turn around with my bag, get back on a train and meet you all in the bar tonight please and do more talking!!

Lionheart, would you believe I got adopted by a small chinese boy in the train home - with the same name as your son??

Now, can someone come and be specifically nice about me?

lionheart · 19/11/2007 16:19

fmf--that is most peculiar.

DS has fallen for you (you may have noticed when he attached himself to your leg).

The hat and the paper aeroplanes helped but the sewing kit clinched it.

TooTicky · 19/11/2007 16:21

Fmf is a delightful and sweet person. Full of fun with a hint of minx. I wish I could have spent more time with her
