For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

fullmoonfiend · 12/11/2007 13:12

Can't I have a teeny bit of credit for Plumping up the yams. That bit was mine...merely a tweak on the existing genius that was Boco's work....

FrannyandZooey · 12/11/2007 13:12

TheMaskedPoster · 12/11/2007 13:19

Wonderful title!

I love to read the different titles every week (a highlight in my hum-drum life )

TooTicky · 12/11/2007 13:30

I once put pumpkin in an apple pie when we were short of apples. Nobody noticed

TF and IGW - Do you have to do long-winded/expensive training to get paid for correcting other people's typos?

100x, if you have lots of time on your hands you can come and stand next to me in the shoe shop in Bath and be Anne-like while I try to convince them that I need replacement shoes for dd2. The problem being, I bought them fortuitously in the sale for £10 and they are unlikely to have any similarly sized and priced.

lionheart · 12/11/2007 13:57

Is the title from a song?

TooT - not sure about publishing but for my job I need extensive knowledge of the vagaries of food labelling law and also a working knowledge of how our factory works as well as being a dyed-in-the-wool pedant. I give myself time off from the pedantry when I post on MN. I can't be arsed when I have to be a pain in the backside over spelling in RL.

Will I get kicked off this thread for working in the processed food industry? We do make houmous y'know, and Nice Coleslaw.

lullabyloo · 12/11/2007 14:13

TooTicky, I have no training whatsoever. I have a degree in music and I have half a braincell (on a good day) I jusy kind of fell into the job, but I quite like it. It's niuce to be doing 8t again after 3 years off at home with the biys.

Boco · 12/11/2007 15:14

Franny i thought titular prowess meant you thought i had big boobs.

Credit to fmf for the yams bit yes.

Lionheart are you from Britain? Did you grow up in England? You are getting more mysterious. Even though i now know you have dark hair.

TigerFeet · 12/11/2007 15:15

@ playdate bringing his own lunch - how very odd and a bit rude too imho

@ "and a bowl of salad" though, bless him

lionheart · 12/11/2007 15:50

It is a lovely title, Boco, and sounds groovy but I can't quite place it.

I did grow up in England but some things may have passed me by.

Boco · 12/11/2007 15:54

Was just teasin lion

for you

lionheart · 12/11/2007 16:09

It didn't come up, Boco, but the, um, "sand in my crack mix" did.

I think my two year old may have been hypnotised.

frothykindofadrink · 12/11/2007 16:35

I have been googling for relaxation downloads all afternoon

I am afloat on a sea of inbreaths and the lifeforce and the love from the sun

it is all a bit much to be honest

I just wanted to be able to sleep during the day not be referred to as a 'pilgrim'

gizmo · 12/11/2007 17:19

Frothy,

Are you wandering down a long sunlit corridor...towards a favourite room?

Here, take a minute to arrange it as you like. Place some of your favourite objects in it and a comfortable chair. Here you will feel entirely safe and protected...

Then we'll turn up and bounce at you

I'm still completely in the dark about the last 10 minutes of the my hypnobirthing relaxation CD - never got there awake.
