For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Oh, I just thought I'd try to be clever and pay the rent with a credit card cheque (no interest until later) instead of the usual combination of child benefit and credit card cash (scary interest) but on asking the bank if I could stop the standing order at short notice I was told that the money was due to come out today and that they had already tried to take it and that they have been taking it a day early for ages (accounting for lots of charges I suppose. I don't read bank emails because I am a coward). So they changed it to the 17th for next month, I drew out the credit card cash and paid it in and then she said that they might not pay the money after all this month and that there was no way of knowing, we'll just have to wait and see. SoI have drawn out bloody expensive cash in order to pay something that might not work after all, in which case the landlord will be pissed off. And I am pissed off and feel all heavy inside and I nearly cried in the bank and I don't know what to do, long term or short term.
At least dp has almost agreed in a very grudging kind of way that he might possibly need to get a part time job.
Sorry, rant over.
As you were.

Afternoon..or is it evening? I feel like it's evening..

LL >

There is a bug going round at work, so far it has not appeared on my side of the screen

As usual I am swigging echinacea.

Have had soup and a miserable lunch at the pub over the raod from work (nice to go out with friends but crap food)...supper is shepherds pie with some romanesque on the side.

Veg box recipe this week is celery, cheddar and ale soup, which sounds mightily better than kale

TooTicky · 16/11/2007 17:06

Sorry, I have scared you all off. I shouldn't have vented. You see? I am crap!
