For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

We're used to going away with the car loaded to the hilt and I have to figure out how to get down on the train with all our stuff for 5 days [panic] I imagine I will be wearing one outfit til Thursday (with several pairs of shoes!)

Dinner's turned out rather nice - frozen mixed veg and all!

Lull, don't you start with all this bug stuff. Everyone has to come. Or Else.

Boco · 16/11/2007 17:59

Yes, i'm wondering how to transport dd and a buggy and bags on and off trains / escalators / tube trains. will be a challenge.

MrsCarrot · 16/11/2007 18:11

I used to travel all over with ds1 in his buggy and a rucksack. I think I chose times where the tube would be quieter but I can't imagine doing it now with masses more stuff. I am coming in the car anyway.

Is it really going to be cold. Can't believe we're all meeting in 40 hours or so.

pinkspottywellies · 16/11/2007 18:20

I can't believe it's 39 days til Christmas (there was a sign in the window of the chemist!)

lullabyloo · 16/11/2007 18:34

awwwwww fmf....thankyou
but dont all be nice to me today or I might cry

I really dont think I can face/am up to dragging poorly crotchety ds all the way to wretched B%*@$R tomorrow for dh's stepfather's zillionth birthday.
I shall have to smile & be civil & put up with mil's ghastly perfume, shag pile, three hundred ticking chiming clocks & collections of china/crystal etc that she spends all the visit telling ds not to touch/break.
I also do not want to eat yucky roast dinner at yucky chintzy hot floral restaurant
She will ask me questions I do notwant to answer, interogate me about my state of health, lecture me about ds & tell me how tired & overworked poor dh is.

maybe I'm not really ill.....maybe it's mil's sickness?

pinkspottywellies · 16/11/2007 18:58

I think you're right Lull. And the cure for MIL sickness is avoiding the allergen (ie MIL) and also meeting friends to reverse the sickness caused previously

lionheart · 16/11/2007 19:03

Stay away from MIL.

fullmoonfiend · 16/11/2007 19:04

and cake. Lots of wholesome cake. eaten with friends....

lullabyloo · 16/11/2007 19:16

I dont know what's worse...struggling through tomorrow
or not going & facing the wrath of dh

TooTicky · 16/11/2007 19:24

LL, can ds be highly contagious for the purposes of tomorrow? Hooge sympathies!

pinkspottywellies · 16/11/2007 19:26

Wrath? Surely if you're terribly ill (with a 24 hour thing of course) you'll get sympathy? and support in your recouperation programme involving meeting friends on Sunday

pinkspottywellies · 16/11/2007 19:30

TooT, sympathy for bank situation

FrayedKnot · 16/11/2007 19:32

LL a day resting at home tomorrow will do you the world of good

Someone told me it is going to be pouring on Sunday - I hadn;t dared check.

I was hoping to walk with DS in the buggy as we are arriving at a different station than usual, and I thought it would be nicer.

Pants...that means loads of tube changes and brollies.

Still the cake will be worth it

I'm still trying to match names up - it's v. weird....

I am probably wearing...a sou'wester.

ahundredtimes · 16/11/2007 19:39

Everybody go and pack and stop panicking.

Boco's packing, you should be packing. We've got some tidying up and changes to make here over the weekend. [gets out colour chart, tries to hide cocktail shaker]

someone has a gorgeousd name..or is it not a real name?

pinkspottywellies · 16/11/2007 19:47

100x you go and pack and get yourself to the meet up

TooTicky · 16/11/2007 19:47

Oh no, not rain! I have a split in one of my soles (no new shoes yet).

TooTicky · 16/11/2007 19:49

Wombling has a beautiful name.

100x, please change your mind! We could meet at Chippenham and travel together.

ahundredtimes · 16/11/2007 19:51

No, no PSW. I don't 'do' meet-ups. I never said I would come, I have ignored the whole thing since day one. [sticks fingers in ears]

Go and pack.

TooTicky · 16/11/2007 19:51

Thanks for sympathy Mrs. Wellies

womblingalong · 16/11/2007 19:54

thanks everyone, yes it is a real name zippi!

pinkspottywellies · 16/11/2007 19:56

I know you don't do meet ups. Neither do I!! It's not too late to change your mind. I just figured that missing out would be worse than the embarrassment of going! Come on, pack!

zippitippitoes · 16/11/2007 19:57

oh I like it babes

ahundredtimes · 16/11/2007 19:57
