For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Oh!
No, this was an act of crassness and violence. You are not crass and violent.
It was awful, the noise, and the way it flapped

IdrisTheDragon · 15/11/2007 16:46

It might work

ahundredtimes · 15/11/2007 16:48

You can pick off quite a few that way, she said crassly and violently.

But there are millions of them, Idris!

IdrisTheDragon · 15/11/2007 16:48

Sorry, that wasn't a good thing to type.

IdrisTheDragon · 15/11/2007 16:50

The thing I typed that is.

I am too slow today .

ahundredtimes · 15/11/2007 16:50

No, it was a fine thing to type.

Gizmo's millions of them, was a bad thing to type.

Sort of.

None of them are in the UK, 100x

IdrisTheDragon · 15/11/2007 16:54

There are lots of them in the UK though. Generally wherever I am.

IdrisTheDragon · 15/11/2007 16:55

Pigeons that is.

FrannyandZooey · 15/11/2007 16:56

My mother has a one woman campaign against pigeons. She goes out with a big pole and knocks their nests out of the tree in her garden

I'll give you her number 100, you could band together

I have just emailed everyone yet aGAIN about the meet up (sorry about this) as the cafe want to know do we want cake? When i stopped laughing I said yes I thought it quite likely, but I am asking you as well just in case you are boycotting cake and I get presented with a giant bill at the end for Cakes Made But Not Ordered.

They also said please remind everyone NO CARDS only CASH or CHEQUES.

I've eaten potato salad and some Kiki superfood and feel quite perky. Oh and I LedLOL at :

"So now we mustn't discuss food any more because of Franny and we shall have to talk nonsense instead. How will we cope?"

gizmo · 15/11/2007 16:56

Shhh, Idris.

Those aren't pigeons, they're very feathery mice.

IdrisTheDragon · 15/11/2007 16:56

It was better when I was typing about spaghetti.

lionheart · 15/11/2007 16:58

Cake is a bloody good idea.

Hello, 10/10ers.

TooTicky · 15/11/2007 16:58

I wasn't huffing, I was talking to dd2.
Now I am going to gather the washing before it freezes.

IdrisTheDragon · 15/11/2007 16:59

Very plain spaghetti, obviously

IdrisTheDragon · 15/11/2007 17:00

I need to take some washing out of the machine.

TooTicky · 15/11/2007 17:07

I had never before realised that when people talk about winter's icy grip, they actually mean the way the pegs refuse to let go of the washing.
It's jolly cold, isn't it?

TooTicky · 15/11/2007 17:09

Idris, you mustn't talk about spaghetti just in case. You must call it string.

TooTicky · 15/11/2007 17:14

Dd2 has just asked me for "Dad's bums". Good thing I know she means drum sticks!

TooTicky · 15/11/2007 17:15

Where are you all? Here I am skillfully shirking my duties and nobody is talking to me.

TooTicky · 15/11/2007 17:18

Not only was I shirking, I was heating an empty pan on a rather high heat. See, that's dedication.

IdrisTheDragon · 15/11/2007 17:20

But if I talked about eating string I would sound mad.

IdrisTheDragon · 15/11/2007 17:21

Lol at Dad's Bums .

How old is your DD2?
