For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Hello

Please don;t fall out about bleach

Sorry I was getting a bit militant about the rape of our countryside last night and ignoring wombling's teeth whcih was shameful of me. Sorry Wombling. Hope things are a bit better today.

That photo did make me look leggy - I am tallish, but I think it was the fact that we are in silhouette almost

DH took the photos - he has always been into photography but recently bought a new camera and spends aaaagggges taking 100 different variations of the same photo

BBBee · 04/11/2007 13:28

message from BOCO:

"4 days with no internet so far. Broken again and no idea how to fix it. House tidy though and children freaked out by the amount of attention they are getting. Miss veggers though."

So that explains the lack of our favourite green train.

FrayedKnot · 04/11/2007 13:30

Just off to fireworks in a minute...it's an all afternoon affair

Possum I see no reason why you cannot be earthily lentilweaverish and elegant at the same time...perhaps faded elegance, but nowt wrong with that

I am definitely somewhat faded these days, I feel

ahundredtimes · 04/11/2007 14:00

Oh good I was wondering what had happened to Boco, I was worrying about hospitals and things. Her dp wrecked the server in a jealous rage again?

I am hungover. I danced a great deal, I did 'expressive' dancing. It was fun, I love dancing. Was okay in the end, had v. potent cocktails called Winter Pimms, vodka and something.

I'd really like to discuss what TooT meant by propriety Franny, oh please can't we?

BBBee · 04/11/2007 14:04

100 - more sharing about the 'sexy witch' element please!

ahundredtimes · 04/11/2007 14:23

Do you mean me? I wasn't, I was sleek and elegant witch.

They were there though, in fishnet tights and pointy boots and witchy looking cleavage.

In fact dh got pinned to a sofa by one. She wouldn't let him go, and everyone kept telling me he needed saving from her, but I just blithly continued with my expressive dancing. He was quite frightened actually, she kept running her hands up his leg. Hahaha.

Another bleach & ecover user [blush}

party went very well
princess entertainer fabulous
face painter extremely fabulous
food went down a storm & lots of mothers trying to book me..lol
dh did a star job with photography too....lots of brownie points

so 6am-12.45 cooking & prepping
12.45-1.15 to dress/get ds ready...walk all hampers/boxes of food round to church hall
1.30-2.00..laying tables, blowing up balloons..doing cream teas & champagne for mummies
2-5.00 party
5-6.00 clearing up
6-6.15 race home & put on woolens & wellies
6.15..mad race up hill to park
6.30-8.30 fireworks

uggghhhh...by the time I had bathed ,read & sang to ds I felt about 300 & ready to drop
Today I am doing nothing,....apart from tidying up all the remnants of party debris
My leg looks & feels like a tree trunk today...2 days of constant standing I guess.
still......it was so worth it to see a little girl with so many battles & struggles..so animated & blissfully happy

ds wore pink socks as a token gesture & has declared his party next year will be a pink princess one too
oh well.......
he was actually quite disappointed to get duplo instead of a pink parasol to take home

littlerach · 04/11/2007 14:35

That sounds rather hectic, LL.
You are very kind.

Frayedknot, I have a dh like that. He is rather keen on photography, and I'm sure is good at it, but he takes aaaggggeeeessss to go anywhrere, and i end up thinking I;'d rather go without him.

Dd1 commented on his slowness the other day, and begged him to leave the camera equipment at home. He didn't.

lullabyloo · 04/11/2007 14:38

ditto littlerach.....dh never leaves his camera behind ever

pinkspottywellies · 04/11/2007 15:12

TooT are you around? Sorry to bang on about my cake again but the recipe you gave me (3oz marg, 3 oz sugar, 6oz flour and milk) do I cream the butter and sugar first like making a sponge or do I rub in the flour and butter like with the apple cakes?

Thanks!

pinkspottywellies · 04/11/2007 15:20

Oh no! Where's TooT? I'm thinking because of the order in which she wrote the ingredients it's cream the marg and sugar?

lionheart · 04/11/2007 15:39

Oh blimey, what is wrong with ecover?

fullmoonfiend · 04/11/2007 16:12

sorry, 100 but I am chuckling at your expressive dancing.
Have to go as have 10 adults and 10 children to cater for at our annula Crap Fireworks party,.

Bocoreepy · 04/11/2007 16:21

Did anyone notice that i've been living exclusively in real life for 4 days? It was strange. I have to spend more time there, and will probably have to with this stupid arsing computer. I do quite like the fact that everything is quite tidy and organised.

Dp said he may be able to fix it by wiping it and re installing everything. I thought that was risky as every photo we've taken since the children were born is on this computer, totally un backed up. So, dp said he'd back it up, and we had an argument as i had this feeling he'd wipe the lot. And that is exactly what he did. 100s of photos all gone and we have none printed out. It's so predictable. I did big shouting and now we're not speaking at all. I know it was an accident but fgs, we now have no baby pictures of the girls at all. I'm so sad about it. Wiping the hard drive has fixed the internet though - and then he's spent money we don't have to buy file restoring software and he's spent all day trying to get the pictures back. So far not worked.

What did i miss?

FrannyandZooey · 04/11/2007 16:26

Boco I am so sad to hear that

take it to a proper pc shop and they will get it back for you

I am glad you are back with us but very sorry about the photos

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 04/11/2007 16:27

(in future please use Picasa or something to store them properly - we have lost 2 pcs at very short notice and could very easily have lost all our pictures both times)

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 04/11/2007 16:29

dp just telling me that is bollocks

ignore

am going off to have long discussion about why we have our photos ON picasa when I don't like it

apparently what you need to do is put them on humyo.com

OP posts:
Boco · 04/11/2007 16:34

We have a mac and no mac fixing places around here.

FrannyandZooey · 04/11/2007 16:39

oh no, have your tried to find local computer bods? we always find them better than shops anyway

OP posts:
Boco · 04/11/2007 16:53

At the moment the only computer bod i know who can do macs is in New Zealand, so i was going to the library and emailing him - he's given advice, but dp is being all male and 'no no it's fine, i know exactly what i'm doing' 'oops'

oh nooooooooooooooooooooo Boco
surely they are retrievable?????????

BBBee · 04/11/2007 17:41

oh fuck boco - that is so fucking awful. You must be so upset. There must be like help you can get for this stuff. Have you sent lots of people photos? Will you be able to salvage something that way?

Am for you (and I don;t use those faces lightly girl.)

womblingalong · 04/11/2007 17:49

Boco,

How awful! I have just asked DP to back up all of ours, you poor thing.

Franny, you are a fab lentil weaver in my humble opinion, and v honest about what you perceive as your shortcomings, everyone thinks you are just lovely, that's why so many of us stay here and don't post that much on other threads, you make it all a bit less scary!

Thanks everyone, teeth are much better, altho had to have antibiotics to get rid of infection.

Am in major denial about going back to work this tuesday, I am so not ready to leave DS, he is only 7 months, and I didn't go back to work (PT) until DD was 18 months so I am feeling it is a bit too soon.

I am in panic mode too, got so much to organise and do to be ready to go back, and also loads to remember as DS is ging to MIL, and I have to provid all equipment, I am convinced I am goign to forget something!

Am also starting to worry about the meet up as I am not at all lentil weavery, except I do recycle, use eco products etc (what is wrong with ecover) I fear my 10/10 credentials are sorely lacking!

Tatties · 04/11/2007 17:55

Oh Boco... Oh no I am really sorry about the photos. We have a mac too. I will ask dp if he has any clue about what you could do
