For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page.

Dcs had raisin pancakes in their lunch one day. Another child asked where they were from and on being told that mum made them, scoffed and said you can only get pancakes in shops.

TooTicky · 09/10/2007 23:00

Sorry LL. I'm a bit like that with shoes and they are worn over socks.
Oh god I'm talking about shoes again!!!!

Lullabyloo · 09/10/2007 23:01

Ds has made me promise that i wont let him eat anymore 'mucky' food....the sick episode has really upset him

TooTicky · 09/10/2007 23:01

100x, my dd1 needs a friend like you. Or indeed any friend, but you sound ideal.

ahundredtimes · 09/10/2007 23:02

Ah yes, that might have been it.

TooT make a decision. Franny was kind and called it eccentric, she was being kind TooT. I am veering towards the browns and reds, I don't know why.

I can't bear it. Decide. Holly and Violet it is.

Lullabyloo · 09/10/2007 23:03

quite.....lets have a unanimous shoe decision & then Toot can eat

Boco · 09/10/2007 23:03

Oh no she's lovely. Honestly, it was fine - her mum said she'd never had butternut squash before and is a bit fussy. She's just very very honest! It wasn't as rude as i made it sound, it was just very cheeky.

Her and dd played very complicated games that were all about the planning, they spent the whole time saying 'right, you pretend that you're the sister and the sister is saying to the mummy that she wants to go to the park, ok?' and then the other one says 'ok, but pretend you're not the mummy, you're the other sister and you're saying to the first sister that you want to go to the zoo, ok?' So they never actually got to pretend anything because it was all about the negotiating.

TooTicky · 09/10/2007 23:04

Conker and rust would be autumnally cheering on dismal days. Or would nut and rust be better?

ahundredtimes · 09/10/2007 23:04

Ok I will be. I loved her expression, it was so clever and a bit disdainful and sooo interesting. I love her. She is my new best friend. She, I imagine, will be delighted.

However, I am not being your friend because I can't bear these shoes anymore so I'm going to let you order some in holly and violet, which is not a good choice.

ahundredtimes · 09/10/2007 23:06

Nut and rust also acceptable. Do that. Great that's decided then. Nut and Rust, excellent, order them now.

TooTicky · 09/10/2007 23:07

No, I can't do the holly and violet. I will just dream about them. Will you be my friend if I make a decision?

(Dd1 can be very disdainful. But she has a great sense of humour and memory for historical facts.)

Lullabyloo · 09/10/2007 23:07

i do love you 100x

Toot.......nooooooooooooooo more shoe talk
not ever
never

(lets just order toot a pair in every colour combination possible)

TooTicky · 09/10/2007 23:09

Is nut better than conker then?

So distracted am I that I nearly posted my slice of bread into the computer instead of the grill.

ahundredtimes · 09/10/2007 23:10

Oh yes I can see that, all from her expression in the tree. I heart her, I'm telling you. She will be biting and brilliant but strangely kind when I get my facts muddled up. We will laugh. It's going to be great.

GET THE BLARDY SHOES.

Lullabyloo · 09/10/2007 23:11

ok lovely ones
to bed i go
am too too cold to shiver here any longer & if i have another hot drink i shall go pop
i have eaten a whole bag of dried peaches....oh lummy

TooTicky · 09/10/2007 23:12

Night night LL

ahundredtimes · 09/10/2007 23:15

TooT - I have to go to bed too. Get the shoes. Close your eyes, pick two colours, they will be great. Okay? Shoes, NOW. ORDER.

womblingalong · 09/10/2007 23:26

TooT,

What did you decide?

FrannyandZooey · 10/10/2007 08:20

Toot

get conker as the base and choose a colour, any colour, to go with them

any of the blues, or holly, or violet, or really anything at all, would be fab, but not another brown because that would be dull

IMO

wombling that is brilliant! You are bulk cooking wonder

I am going to an African Mbira and dancing workshop this afternoon. Sometimes I worry I am turning into a parody of myself.

lionheart · 10/10/2007 09:17

Well done, TooT, I hope it was pleasurable indecision really.
