For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

No not teasing. I've never been opposed to mooncups per se but just about women talking about their periods, because of that friend's mother with her horrible food going on about having a period all the time - I have told you this. I might get a mooncup - I thought that thread was good and everyone seemed so pleased with it.

Boco, that is a story. Tell your FIL that to stop him talking about allotments.

Right, pavlova.

Isn't my life repetitive? Sitting here on mn when I'm supposed to be whipping up some masterwork for dcs birthday, which will then fail and I'll come back and panic.

IdrisTheDragon · 06/10/2007 21:50

I am briefly popping in. We had sausage casserole. And many vegetables.

I am going to write more tomorrow, o nthings other people have written about already and be behind the times but the thoughts go round my head so you may as well get the benefit(?) of them.

Am going to bed soon. I am tired. Always at the moment, which is somewhat frustarting.

Shall I get a mooncup? I use washable towels, which is OK I think.

MrsCarrot · 06/10/2007 21:50

Boco - your post about breastfeeding till the last minute has made me go all funny. Maybe because my Lo is 8 months as well.

IdrisTheDragon · 06/10/2007 21:54

I have one sister. She is 7.5 years younger than me.

Boco · 06/10/2007 21:56

MrsC she didn't keep her that long - only 2 weeks, and just stayed in the hospital with her. But it seems brave to have bf, knowing how bonding that is. She then went to a foster family. Now it's frowned upon to have white families adopting a black baby - or a white baby going to a black family. It must have been really hard for her - we usually lived in rural places where she was the only black person for miles.

100x, how come you watched the Bratz movie? Maybe that's why they didn't go in and see it after all, they got there and dd said they stood around for ages and changed their minds.

100 I am sorry I forgot. It is easy to just let these things turn into a joke and a bit lazy. I am glad the thread encouraged you. I might get some at wholesale price next month if you want a slightly cheaper one, although I think bodykind have a good offer on atm?

Lullabyloo · 06/10/2007 22:12

ds was most disgusted not to be allowed on the boat...after asking the sky news man to excuse me so he could climb up

he also was deeply disturbed at the apparant lack of sea

MrsCarrot · 06/10/2007 22:13

Yes, great news 3andnomore.

I just raced to get a glass when dd showed me a long purply rash on her leg saying it didn't hurt. It came off on the glass

Boco · 06/10/2007 22:13

That's good news 3! Can't remember the name of the film, i don't think it was a very good film, probably late 70's - someone quite famous though. I remember watching it years ago.

MrsCarrot · 06/10/2007 22:14
