For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

That's how I thought you'd wear them Franny - with skirt and boots and I thought it wuld look fab!

aCarrot · 01/10/2007 21:50

I am not sick of it one bit, I love it. Quite dark for a bedroom though, depends on the furniture I suppose. I have a large white french dresser thing that lifts it.

So that's why my period was late! I was subconsciously trying to synchronise with Franny, it's obvious now. And there was me convincing dp we were going to need to build an extension

aCarrot · 01/10/2007 21:51

?? twice

I think lots of coloured tight showing would be good too, they are fun.

FrannyandZombie · 01/10/2007 21:51

Was it him who ate the banner?

Dp has had sole charge of ds for most of two days now. I rang him after lunch today and said "so how are you finding it being the stay at home parent, not so easy when you have him ALL DAY is it?" and the cheeky git said in a high pitched voice "ooh, it's terrible, I'm going on Mumsnet, ooh, I'm having to eat some chocolate, ooh come home soon"

pinkspottywellies · 01/10/2007 21:52

Has anyone heard about buy nothing day? The website's not up and running yet but it's about challenging consumerism. Just saw it in a magazine and thought of you. (all, not anyone in particular)

I'm going to bed now. Shout at me if I post again

aCarrot · 01/10/2007 21:53

I'm coming with you, PSW, I'm so tired.

pinkspottywellies · 01/10/2007 21:53

LOL at MrFranny.

I'm going - don't shout.

FrannyandZombie · 01/10/2007 21:54

ooh large white french dresser, yum

no no these legs are SILLY, they are not in proportion with the rest of me

you may think you would like them but you wouldn't, and I can't do much about them, even at the gym

Tatties I think we were all in synch at one point and then mine went bonkers. I keep having a 24 day cycle which is an arse.

pinkspottywellies · 01/10/2007 21:54

Perhaps don't come with me MrsC. I don't know what Mr Pink might say

aCarrot · 01/10/2007 21:54
Grin
FrannyandZombie · 01/10/2007 21:58

God don't come with me either, I DO know what MrFranny would say

lionheart · 01/10/2007 22:00

This is all getting quite friendly.

What has happened to your name, MrsC (again)?

CountDIORacula · 01/10/2007 22:06

Hello all...

I have had 7 portions today but no exercise. Made a lovely parsnip/potato/lentil soup for dinner.

filthymindedvixen · 01/10/2007 22:10

I'm coming to bed too. But I shall ignore you lot as i am reading a good book and have to get up at sparrowfart for college.

PMSL. Nowt in partcular, just PMSL....

lionheart · 01/10/2007 22:13

It's not a full moon, surely?

Boco · 01/10/2007 23:04

I went for a fruit filled walk yesterday and have just put pictures on photobucket but not sure how to post - does this work?

CountDIORacula · 01/10/2007 23:04

Yup - nice piccies

IdrisTheDragon · 01/10/2007 23:06

Lovely pictures .

IdrisTheDragon · 01/10/2007 23:08

Dior, I was thinking about the anagrams and your name could also be Dr Oi .

IdrisTheDragon · 01/10/2007 23:11

Where was your walk Boco? Makes me think of Ickworth a bit (which I think can't be too far from you).

CountDIORacula · 01/10/2007 23:12

I like Dr. Oi!

Boco · 01/10/2007 23:14

No Ickworth isn't too far - but this is Thornham which is 5 mins away. Lovely walled garden and woods - dp got some quinces to make things with, and we tried lots of different types of apples.

IdrisTheDragon · 01/10/2007 23:16

A walk about 5 min away sounds much better .
