For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

I don't deserve it.

No. This is the highest i've ever scored. It's been a fair bit of luck honest - couple of huge scoring bingos - and NO I AM NOT CHEATING.

Oh, a real phobia, I feel bad now too. Hmm, I will set him free tomorrow and we will have, a goldfish? Anyone with a fish phobia?

pinkspottywellies · 02/10/2007 19:03

Hello! I'm back minus dd she's out like a light.

Today I ate raisins, orange juice, seeds (do we count seeds?), fruit salad (kiwi, nectarine, strawberries, mango, pear, grapes from SIL's garden) (2 portions), cucumber, tomatoes, and I'm about to have veg stew and apple crumble. 10 and 10 mins (at least) swimming (with dd so doesn't count as full on exercise but is still active!)

Please may I have a little fanfare?

I hope you've recovered from yesterday Franny.

Boco, love the pictures

MrsCarrot (just in case she's huffy again!)

100x I've got rid of the bird. It's gone.

ahundredtimes · 02/10/2007 19:24

Oh good thank you PSW.

Is not comedy bird phobia, I really do hate them. But I CAN cope, I think. I've never thought of myself as having a phobia before.

And I can discuss how much I hate them usually without feeling revulsed, but it was the 'its very still by the lamp' that did for me. The green parrot was bad too.

Sorry. I am going on.

I am quite cross about this scrabble thing. It's boring for those of us who aren't playing.

Also how many times is Boco going to say 'oh no I'm being lucky' and 'the tiles just appeared in that order - it's a fluke' before you all realize SHE IS CLEARLY VERY GOOD AT SCRABBLE.

Sorry for shouting.

TooTicky · 02/10/2007 19:27

You know we have no hot water? Well, now the oven has stopped working as well. I hope you are all having lovely baths and baking delicious cakes

Sour grape anyone?

I have that sort of tetchiness that comes from knowing that one's hair needs a damn good wash but being too cowardly for the cold shower.

ahundredtimes · 02/10/2007 19:28

Oh no TooT. This is awful.

You have no hot water? No oven? What's happening?

TooTicky · 02/10/2007 19:28

If it makes anybody feel better, my deep fears are gas boilers and thick electric wires. Am also claustrophobic.

TooTicky · 02/10/2007 19:29

The boiler (oil-fired, not gas) isn't working. And today the oven decided to join it.

pinkspottywellies · 02/10/2007 19:30

Oh TooT , can you go to a friend's for a shower?

pinkspottywellies · 02/10/2007 19:31

How good is Boco at Scrabble? What scores does she get?

ahundredtimes · 02/10/2007 19:32

Oh dear, fears and failed boilers.

Do you need more oil in the tank? Has it started and not managed to get enough oil and now you've got an air lock in the pipe?

ahundredtimes · 02/10/2007 19:33

I have no idea PSW, but every day there is someone saying 'Boco, crikey you're good at this' and then she says 'Oh no it's just a fluke' and they keep believing her and going like lambs to the slaughter to play another game.

FrannyandZombie · 02/10/2007 19:35

She's got 444 and we haven't finished yet.

Sorry 100 I did start another thread about Scrabble. I can see I will have to be much stricter with myself about it. Sorry. Sorry about the lamp thing again.

Sorry all round.

Sorry.

TooTicky · 02/10/2007 19:35

No, have already begged oven priveliges. The tank thingummy says 0.4, meaning 40% full. And dp stuck a stick in it to make sure, and it swished.

TooTicky · 02/10/2007 19:37

Should we even have a coffee table in here? Does it not merely encourage the weak-willed elements in their vices? Should we at least rename it - a soup table perhaps? Juice table? Algae table?

FrannyandZombie · 02/10/2007 19:38

How long has it not been working?

Greeny didn't have an oven for ages. I think she eventually learnt how to bake cakes by rubbing her armpits together, or something

TooTicky · 02/10/2007 19:38

444?

Boco · 02/10/2007 19:38

Are you calling me a scrabble hustler?

I think i am quite good at it, but i'm being beaten by jools on facebook - i only win about half my games - the franny game is going ridiculously well.

OP posts:
FrannyandZombie · 02/10/2007 19:38

I think I've just cracked it, with my head

I bowed quite hard

TooTicky · 02/10/2007 19:39

Only since today, but I bake about 3 billion times a day. Or so it seems. Boiler 3 days.
Right, off to collect dd1 and ds2.

FrannyandZombie · 02/10/2007 19:39

pssssst Boco

the other thread

ahundredtimes · 02/10/2007 19:40

No a coffee table is good. BBee and i need to sit around it sometimes, and so does Avi, sometimes.

What course is BBee doing? In the back of my mind I think she's a nurse - do I have any reason whatsoever to think that or not?

Boco · 02/10/2007 19:43

um, no.

She's doing educational psychology.

Sorry again 100, about the p*rrot.

OP posts:
ahundredtimes · 02/10/2007 19:44

You're none of you concentrating properly. Will be the end of 10/10, scrabble. Oh yes, oh yes indeedy.
