For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

A gourd new thread.

Does anyone have an opinon on Eva Cassidy?

ahundredtimes · 09/09/2007 22:44

No opinon at all then.

Boco · 09/09/2007 22:45

My dad likes Eva Cassidy. That puts me off.

In gourd we trust, yes. Can't remember the other gourd ones now - gourd almighty, praise the gourd, Gourd blimey look at all the vegetables we eat in here!.

Going to bed now

In the morning i'm taking dd2 to look around a pre-school [mixed feelings emoticon] - i'll have some actual day time to do work and things - but she's small and i'm not sure. I think she'll love it and decide for me, we'll see.

Gourd night.

ahundredtimes · 09/09/2007 22:47

Gourd night.

Yes, I thought that might be the word on Eva Cassidy.

She'll love it.

Tomorrow is a whole new start for me. No MN until the evening. If you see me, shout loudly and then shun me.

MrsCuntingMango · 09/09/2007 22:49

Why 100x, what do you think of Eva Cassidy, are you thinking of Autumn leaves?

Gourd night, Boco.

ahundredtimes · 09/09/2007 23:04

Well, I was listening to Fields of Gold whilst cooking lunch, and ds1 walked in and said 'god I hate this, it makes me think of fluffy clouds and like I've been buried in a field of flowers, it's horrible.' (ds1 does actually express himself this way, honest.)

And I thought, yes, you are probably right. And then I thought, why haven't I thought this before. Then I thought, why didn't I know this. Then I thought, I wonder what other 10/10ers think of Eva Cassidy.

MrsCuntingMango · 09/09/2007 23:04

God, someone come here and keep me company, I can't post on the rest of mnet in this guise

ahundredtimes · 09/09/2007 23:05

I'm here. I'm just being boring.

MrsCuntingMango · 09/09/2007 23:06

Ha. I actually sang, Joni Mitchell's, 'and the seasons, they go round and round' today in the car, slightly tongue in cheek I have to say, and my ds1 just made all these vomiting sounds from the back and started mimicing me!

ahundredtimes · 09/09/2007 23:07

Hmm. Is rampant then.

What did you do today?

FrannyandZooey · 09/09/2007 23:10

at Joni Mitchell mockery

FrannyandZooey · 09/09/2007 23:10

Hello. I am actually going to bed but wanted gto post here so I would know where it was when i try and read thje thread tomorrow.

Have done quite well on the F&V front today .

MrsCuntingMango · 09/09/2007 23:13

Well, went to Farmers market and ran out of money as Somerfields were limiting cashback so people couldn't use it all for the market outside. Wankers.

So, we had to go to Waitrose and then for a drive/walk, and ds1 moaned and said we are so dull for wanting to just drive round looking at houses, amd I said it is not dull, look at the Dutch gable end on that house and he just sort of kicked the chair and I felt his boredom, I really felt it. I hate garden centres and used car lots with stacked tyres, must have spent lots of time there as a child.

I'm doing that thing where people force their children to do walks and they're bored stiff and it's crept on us. Sundays are dull for him.

FrannyandZooey · 09/09/2007 23:14

Idris we are going to have a NEW thread tomorrow

100x if I go quiet about something it is usually because I know fuck all about it

OP posts:

Shediedwithouthavingreleasedarecordanddoesthereforehaveacertainstatus.

FrannyandZooey · 09/09/2007 23:14

Being bored stiff is good for the soul

you have to develop a rich inner life

MrsCuntingMango · 09/09/2007 23:15

I don't really have an opinion on Eva Cassidy I'm afraid.

FrannyandZooey · 09/09/2007 23:15

Well, I'm almost certainly going to die without having released a record, but I don't expect people will know who I was either

ahundredtimes · 09/09/2007 23:16

Oh MrsC.

Yes. I am in possession of a book called KiddyWalks Around Bath and Bristol.

Whenever I get it off the shelf, they all scarper shouting, NO, NO, NO like that.

IdrisTheDragon · 09/09/2007 23:18

Another new thread? This one only has 174 mssages.

Or are you trying to avoid me [paranoid emoticon].

Birthday was lovely. Small and select though - DS, DD, DH and my sister and boyfriend (who kindly babysat ).

MrsCuntingMango · 09/09/2007 23:19

Ooh, I need that book, 100x, well, not the Bath and Bristol one obviously. Part of the problem is the driving around looking for footpath signs, 'there', no no, too much mud, 'there', no no, just a field etc'. I always want babbling brroks, wrong part of the country.
