For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Good morning Avi. Sorry to hear about headache. Get a massage, this always helps with mine, even if it is just dh reluctantly prodding at my shoulders.

Have eaten 3 greengages so far. I might go and eat some toast now - I have that nice soya and linseed bread.

Tatties · 09/09/2007 10:58

Aw Avi hope it clears soon

Boco · 09/09/2007 11:03

I like 100x party entrance - was it like in 80s movies when college kids go to parties with a cocktail in each hand held up in the air, and they shout 'woo-hoo yeah!' And then they drive away too fast in a red sports car, still holding the cocktails in the air.

Were you arriving two hours late and saying that in a 'its ok, the party can really start now, i'm here!' sort of way? That is cool.

Boco · 09/09/2007 11:06

This is my first thread title. I'm pleased. If anyone comes on here and says they don't like it, i can now wrestle.

Tatties · 09/09/2007 11:09

"Woo-hoo, yeah!" LOL Boco, did you see the Tom Cruise Star Stories?

I like this title it will have me daydreaming about Gilbert Blythe

TooTicky · 09/09/2007 13:03

I had apple and raisins with my porridge.
Have picked lots of blackberries and a couple of apples - ds1 and I are planning cakes.

Yes Boco was like the latter entrance. Wasn't cool, was embarassing and rather stupid really. I don't know why I did, because i didn't want to go in the first place and then I felt quite aggressive about it when I turned up I think.

Bleurgh. I'm going to forget it.

Where did you have your skirmish? We've both had our first skirmishes now. I think it must be seasonal.

Boco · 09/09/2007 14:46

Oh my skirmish was only silly - i didn't even agree with myself, i just fancied a wrestle.
hot fuzz - i only really like bill bailey

I read your skirmish - were you really cross?

ahundredtimes · 09/09/2007 14:56

That was funny. You wore capes and everything.

People got properly cross during my skirmish, there was another thread and everything.

I was cross with the programme yes, but not with the people who liked it. I am most demanding of my Holocaust viewing. I was overbearing though. Bit like at the party, with all the whoo hoos and the hair-throwing and then the deadly dull silence followed by 'And how was Ibiza this year?'

God, haven't emailed you. Hang on, am going to.

ahundredtimes · 09/09/2007 15:08

Have emailed you. You're not going to like it.

Boco · 09/09/2007 15:24

I'm too scared to look now.

Are you going to tell me you don't like any of my decisions to date? Oh you'd be right, i'll just agree with it all.

[worry]

lionheart · 09/09/2007 16:17

Hello.

lionheart · 09/09/2007 16:23

Blackcurrant cordial.

Dp has been away all week and is now back so I won't be flying by the seat of my pants and besides, I have reached the end of detox.

Have just been a fish out of water at a friend's 70th, so can sympathise, 100x. Lots of cool-looking people with Style, and me in my middle-aged gear not knowing what to say to anyone!
Does detox make one feel better, Lion?
