he was in a lot of pain yesterday which has not improved today. he is much more confused so it is difficult to find out what is going on. his sight is much worse too and he is quite wobbly.
The doctor phoned the hospital and talked to them about it. the doc has given him a morphine injection and he is to go back on the steriods, which he has just been weaned off. the doctor will phone in the morning to see how he is. he is tucked up in bed now.

Hope Steve been brighter today and you get some more news tom when you ring the hospital, i can't believe that you have to keep pushing them it makes me so
Glad to see you going to get the mm nurses in. I am sure when Steve sees what they can do to help he may be more open to them being around.

lisad123 · 16/09/2007 19:35

How is steve today? Did you polish off anymore wine? Hope your ok.
Lisa

Steve has had another bad day, he is now in bed, he gets so stubborn he has refused to take his pain killers even thou he is in pain. he says he doesn't like to take them. his brother & sister have been over to see him this afternoon i am hoping that they have talked him out taking his pain killers.
Lisa i must apologize for last night as i was well drunk so probably talking crap on MSN

OP posts:
lisad123 · 16/09/2007 19:52

onlyjoking9329 · 16/09/2007 20:18

onlyjoking9329 · 17/09/2007 09:14

a good night only up twice.
he is no better today, he thinks it is down to the MS i am not sure, he has two different consultants at two different hospitals one for tumour and one for the MS.
i think he needs his steriods increasing again. so i will phone to chase up his scan then phone to see about the steriods.
whats the betting i will be phoning/waiting all day.

Good luck with the telephoning OJ. You are doing so well at holding it all together.
Here's some poncey handground coffee for whilst you are on hold

onlyjoking9329 · 17/09/2007 11:34

i am getting mildly annoyed at being on hold and having to listen to crap music

onlyjoking9329 · 17/09/2007 12:01

after much playing of pass the phone, they have said he should get a date throu this week but the scan may not be until next week.
spoke to the lovely receptionist who has given me her direct number and will get the mac nurse to ring me.

OP posts:
ju · 17/09/2007 12:11

Result ! I know you are anxious about further delay so the fact you have secretary's number now is a help.

BUT why, oh why should you always be pushing? I know the NHS does a reasonable job with scant resources but for you

onlyjoking9329 · 17/09/2007 12:23

I can only add my virtual support along with everyone else.

I have no experience of anything like this and just can't imagine what you are going through.

Wishing you strength and sending a hug.

fransmom · 18/09/2007 20:42

thanks gibberish x

you will be able to talk to someone in rl who knows whats happening both sides of the coin so to speak. good luck sweetheart, fingers crossed as always (well, metaphorically anyway, i don't think i would be able to type on mn otherwise!!!)

onlyjoking9329 · 19/09/2007 08:56

well i am sure the Mac nurses will know what they are doing, i guess it has taken me a while to admit we need one and steve took longer, but we got there in the end!
MB has found them to be brilliant so it must be true.
