For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

She ate 10 portions of Brie, for breakfast

Guadalupe · 30/08/2007 21:10

no, she has gone all stepford this week, remember, every time she posts it is from the kitchen

a lovely kitchen from the sound of it too, aga's and sofas and books and kenyan aromas. I want to go there for a cup of tea and biscuit.

FrannyandZooey · 30/08/2007 21:10

Oh HC's children ate bourbons for breakfast. I had to tell you that. She can come on and tell you that she told my ds he could choose any present in the gift shop, and what he chose.

Has she still got the mouse?

Bee your Katie Melua rhyme was a bit dark. That slashing faces thing! You're dark.

I really wanted to point out that the critical person - i recognised her name as she'd started a sexual positions thread, and was considering barbed comment, but rose above it with a serene smile, bit like lady of guadalupe.

Boco · 30/08/2007 21:12

I've always thought HC seemed very nice.

IdrisTheDragon · 30/08/2007 21:12

I am not veggie.

But I have had mushrooms and more tomatoes and some sort of green leaf.

BBBee · 30/08/2007 21:13

now I am not very good witht he vegetarian question. It is all a bit complicated. I eat meat that has been treated properly so organic or free range but I don't like meat very much so even if I buy i I often don't have it. If people I know eat meat that has been treated well then I do not say anything but for many people I tell them I am a vegeratian as I don't want people to buy meatr especially for me - silly as I don't like it that much. I eat fish - probably once a week. I eat meat probably once a month.

And silly things but my friend speaks very little english and as a thank you to me once she made this huge banquet meal for us when we went round and I ate that.

Have had more piriton. Will ramble and then fall asleep.

zippitippitoes · 30/08/2007 21:14

I think it is something to do with thinking it's a private members club and it occupies a slot..like a table of people having fun in a restaurant when you are there with your partner but had an argument getting ready and have nothing nice to say to each other

Guadalupe · 30/08/2007 21:15

I only like good meat too.

Bourbons for breakfast sound yummy. I often have biscuits and fruit if I'm in a rush.

BBBee · 30/08/2007 21:16

oh ogd boco my kaite melua rhyme was dark wasn't it - I just couldn't make them scan and then I did and I htought we were all saying things about thumping her and stuff - but maybe a chelsea smile is a step too far. Will steer clear!

I loved your james blunt one.

NotReallyHerePossum · 30/08/2007 21:16

Idris, I love your name, I imagine you a lovely shade of mauve, smoking gently.
So tell us Aviatrix, is the Jumbo Box Thingy totally ansorbing for your DS? Does it allow you that essential Time for a Hot Cup of Tea? (as opposed to stone cold).
plums, avocado, butter beans with lettuce, fennel, cucumber, coriander, about 6 in all. No exercise.

BBBee · 30/08/2007 21:17

where's LL - I want her to tell us about her warm salads and wonderful but health cake things - oh god and tofu with basil. I always really like her food and am a bit in awe.

BBBee · 30/08/2007 21:18

possum - how much corrinder - was it in a salad?

NotReallyHerePossum · 30/08/2007 21:21

a huge handful of coriander, just as when i make tabboiuleh i do it like the Lebanese do and put in masses of parsley, not just a sprinkle, so the salad is mainly green, not predominantly bulgar wheat. I relish fresh herbs.I always like the sound of LL's mint and pear combination that she does. Truly, she should publish her own recipe book.

Boco · 30/08/2007 21:22

I did small scale bulk cooking, which just means i had the same thing two days in a row. It was full of vegetables though.

The katie melua rhyme i was most proud of had something to do with pedestrianised precincts.

BBBee · 30/08/2007 21:24

possum - that sounds lovely. We eat loads of coriander but I have o go to the multiculutral shops in another part of town rather than supermakret to get the bulk.

BBBee · 30/08/2007 21:25

I have done a bulk cooking plan - all scribbly on paper and am rather proud. I have to get a new fridge freezer first thoguh - have no idea how I do that. Ditto tumble dryer.

BBBee · 30/08/2007 21:27

boco - you know when your dp did that mouth thing and you realised you loved him - were you all sitting on the floor in a student kitchen? That is how I imagine it - with candles and everyone a bit drunk and someoen saying 'who remembers spangles' (god so many peple used to say that!)

Tatties · 30/08/2007 21:28

I LOVE FMV's title.

Franny you know it's not the same without you.

I am piling loads of stuff on my porridge atm, sunflower seeds, cashews, almonds, banana... also today had OJ, houmous, carrot, raisins, mushrooms, courgette... and off to get some strawberries and raspberries now.

Avi I am of ds's toy. I thing ds could do with something new as well but we haven't much room... I should really get rid of his baby stuff but can't quite bear to just yet...

IdrisTheDragon · 30/08/2007 21:30

Thank you Possum for liking my name .

Tatties · 30/08/2007 21:31

Oh Idris have you recovered from your A&E trip?

BBBee · 30/08/2007 21:32

(tatties I made your curry - it was lovely but I messed around and put lots of other stuff in too - should have left it alone maybe.)

IdrisTheDragon · 30/08/2007 21:32

Here is my inspiration

BBBee · 30/08/2007 21:33

OH YES! I REMEBER IT!
