For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

FrannyandZooey · 30/08/2007 20:33

Wouldn't it be better if it said,

Floating in the Autumn sky (seasonal see?) ninety nine red plums go by.

Guadalupe · 30/08/2007 20:34

Grin Grin

ahundredtimes · 30/08/2007 20:34

Actually that person who crashed in and said she hated seeing it in active convos will really hate us if we have that one. It'll make her sing the song. She'll bite her pillow at night and tear her hair out.

Guadalupe · 30/08/2007 20:35

Gggrrr, but that wouldn't be THE song would it 100x??

I had blardy Morrisey in my head for weeks I tell you, weeks

Guadalupe · 30/08/2007 20:35

I really want to annoy that person, rocketdicket or whatever their name was

ahundredtimes · 30/08/2007 20:36

Is artistic fruity licence

OK. I need to do a poll. Now, I'm sorry if you've all established this but I need a Vegetarian/Vegan declaration please.

I think I don't score so well because I'm also eating garlic roast chicken.

FrannyandZooey · 30/08/2007 20:41

It's like something out of Magritte

now chaps we need to have a chat

I popped in this morning and saw that rude remark from that person about the title

I told HC and said "how marvellous, everyone just ignored it totally, as if politeness forbade them from mentioning the embarrassing faux pas"

Now you are all sniping about it, let's have some vegetably dignity

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 30/08/2007 20:42

I am vegetarian

yes 100 it will be harder for you because there is only so much food you can fit in your body (well so I find anyway despite much effort to the contrary)

while you are having roast chicken I am having lentils, and they count, you see

Actually I think we were frightened Franny, by that intrusion. You weren't here, we were alone manning the fort, everyone looked the other way and hoped she'd just go away.

Boco · 30/08/2007 20:46

I booked the Fitzrovia one for 154. Continental breakfast included. It looks very chintzy inside, but fine and in a good place - my friend has curated an exhibition just up the road from there, all about the human heart, so we'll be there on saturday - for a bit.

Hooray! I'm finally leaving the village! I'll have forgotten how to cross roads and i'll be like a hillbilly and stare at all the purdy loights. But still have Truman show angst, something will conspire against me, - last time i went away on my own with no children there was a landslide and all trains were cancelled. Suffolk is totally flat ffs! There is nowhere for mud to slide to. Got out in the end, but dp had to pick me up and drive me to chelmsford to find a train that worked.

Sorry, i'm gibbering, i'm excited.

Guadalupe · 30/08/2007 20:53

Oh good. I bet you will have a lovely time, fortune shines on 10/10 remember?

I am not vegi. I had sausages with my lentils, and vegetables, and fruit. I have a lot of room.

FrannyandZooey · 30/08/2007 20:55

nooooooooooo the opulent feast of the buffet breakfast will be there Boco and you will be sorely tried

phone the hotel and ask if they can lob on the buffet breakfast for a tenner extra

FrannyandZooey · 30/08/2007 20:56

can someone vouch for 100, btw? Did she get 10 / 10?

OP posts:
FrayedKnot · 30/08/2007 20:59

I'm not veggie. We eat meat about 3 times a week, plus cold meats sometimes, and fish.

It is hard to fit in actually. The only way I fit in 10 is by eating big salads for lunch.

I think in the winter I will have to substitute for soup.

Guadalupe · 30/08/2007 21:01

I fit it in. I fit it all in. I just eat less carbs and proteins than I would I suppose.

FrannyandZooey · 30/08/2007 21:02

You're all keeping quiet. Did she pay you to cover for her?

OP posts:
pinkspottywellies · 30/08/2007 21:05

I'm not veggie and I ate meat at 3 meals on Monday then felt disgusted

BBBee · 30/08/2007 21:07

well she said she ate 10 but I think she lies a lot - she eats only brie.
