For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

are you talking about the thread title or my name?

Guadalupe · 30/08/2007 11:04

Boco - Quentin Blake is on radio 4 in a bit if you haven't got it on

womblingalong · 30/08/2007 11:24

Guadalupe - sort of exotic and clumpy at the same time - non?

Am with you 100x, want to go on strike today, fed up of the incredible non-sleeping baby and all the boring housework.

F&V not so good either boo!

BBBee · 30/08/2007 11:53

meant the thread title - didn't want to upset you by saying it was surreal.

You are not thick I am consistently vague.

I miss Fran - do you think she is with hc?

Guadalupe · 30/08/2007 11:59

oh, I see, well, I'm not upset

I think Franny and HC are A Bit Hungover

Boco · 30/08/2007 12:30

Oh no, i missed quentin Blake - did you hear it Mrs Loupe? What did he say?

TooTicky · 30/08/2007 12:34

I am feeling decidedly delicate internally. I think it was the nettle ale. I am not used to such things these days. Am restoring myself with a plate of salad and seeds (tomato, yellow pepper, cucumber and fennel).

I too had my doubts about Guadaloupe, even though I thought it was a melon.

TooTicky · 30/08/2007 12:35

100x, I hope it is going well. I think your ds2 and mine would get on splendidly.

zippitippitoes · 30/08/2007 12:41

TooTicky · 30/08/2007 12:56

Gulp. Don't ask me. I'm hopeless.

filthymindedvixen · 30/08/2007 12:56

does 'romantic' mean he want to woo you or wants to make you feel so 'romantic' (ie buy you a nice desert and a rose) that all your clothes fall off?

How about ''All fruit bright and beautiful, all peaches great and small'' for a thread title?

Guadalupe · 30/08/2007 12:59

Balloons!

Guadalupe · 30/08/2007 13:01

fruit does not rhyme with things

zippitippitoes · 30/08/2007 13:01

god knows..one of the languages he speaks is arabic...he is tall and fairish

filthymindedvixen · 30/08/2007 13:08

it doesn't need to rhyme just scan. And it does. It could easily be ''all beans bright and beautiful'' if that's any better. (things and beans being a sort of half rhyme...)

filthymindedvixen · 30/08/2007 13:08

I mean, ''All peaches great and small'' is good, no?

Guadalupe · 30/08/2007 13:08

Do you want a scrap?

Guadalupe · 30/08/2007 13:09
Grin
filthymindedvixen · 30/08/2007 13:09

and in what way does nectarines rhyme with red balloons eh? eh??

(although I did snigger when I saw it)

zippitippitoes · 30/08/2007 13:10

all peachers great and small is good

depends on your diction

Guadalupe · 30/08/2007 13:12

at least it has the same assonance

nectarines, nectarines, nectarines...
