For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Please do stay though

Guadalupe · 30/08/2007 09:59

100x I forgot to ask how your holiday was?

Boco · 30/08/2007 10:01

But the Turkey thing is a problem isn't it? You can't get a cab to Turkey. If it's a light hearted friendship you're after then i think you could be onto a winner though.

BBBee · 30/08/2007 10:03

guad - I really agree with the food thing - it is odd because when you first start eating better you do miss the less healthy options for a while and then you realise how little they appeal after a few weeks. I find serivce stations really hard now - bit like if you get used to really good chocolate and then have a dairy milk and it tastes all greasy.

(I want the crying chocolate now)

zippitippitoes · 30/08/2007 10:04

i shall just wait for me invite to turkey..he did say come and join me the other day but it was on msn and i think we were talking fictitiously

Guadalupe · 30/08/2007 10:05

speaking of balloons, I have an idea for a thread title

Floating in the Summer sky, ninety nine nectarines go by...

No? Is it really dreadful?

BBBee · 30/08/2007 10:05

(I picture you trying the chocolate for the first time and then you put your head in your hands with a mixture of happiness and soul searching contemplation and the tears come to your eyes and you are racked with emotions and cannot bear to taste it agina but cannot bear not to...)

BBBee · 30/08/2007 10:06

zipppi - ask him to the meet up - or we can have summer meet up in turkey.

zippitippitoes · 30/08/2007 10:06

what is that red balloon film..don't think it is in print where the balloon drifts from the window

zippitippitoes · 30/08/2007 10:08

you mean the xmas meet up? blimey he would be in heaven he does salsa and he loves women...

Guadalupe · 30/08/2007 10:08

Yes there was a sort of welling up at a glimpse of the macro picture, then I pulled myself together and ate the rest of the bar without a problem. Is this unusual then?

Guadalupe · 30/08/2007 10:09

Do you mean Steven King's IT, Zippi?

zippitippitoes · 30/08/2007 10:10

are samples of this mythical crying chocolate being brought for tasting to the meet up? we should do a blind chocolate tasting

zippitippitoes · 30/08/2007 10:10

no something old....

Boco · 30/08/2007 10:11

I'm getting the picture now - dressed as lady of guadalupe who also dresses a lot like madonna the son of god one, having some kind of divine experience, like one of those paintings where the nuns look like they're getting their rocks off.

BBBee · 30/08/2007 10:12

you know zippi I like this man - you seem much brighter at the moment.

ahundredtimes · 30/08/2007 10:12

Has he said he loves women? I can't work him out. Why has he gone to live in Turkey? Do you think he has really?

Don't listen to me. I don't even know what msn is. What is it? Texting?

It was good thank you MrsC (I don't want to call you Guadaloupe, I don't like it, it's too big and fruity and a little bit ugly, sorry but there it is). Though it did rain. Can you believe it? The upside was that we were very functional, and played card games and roared with laughter a lot playing consequences, which was very pleasing as we've all been a bit shouty and dysfunctional this holiday.

zippitippitoes · 30/08/2007 10:12

the red balloon

BBBee · 30/08/2007 10:13

no gaud - I LOVE it!

Guadalupe · 30/08/2007 10:13

Lol at the humble bar being a near religious experience

Guadalupe · 30/08/2007 10:14

SEE, 100x thinks it's ugly, I SAID it was clumpy, I said that...

BBBee · 30/08/2007 10:14

but if we go too far down the crying chocolate route fran and boco start shouting 'soap' and I get upset.

ahundredtimes · 30/08/2007 10:15

lol. I just asked dh what film has a red balloon in it and ds1 said 'it's called La ballon rouge. I watched it in French. There's this boy who has a balloon in Paris' and I rolled my eyes at him, I thought he was making it up.

Guadalupe · 30/08/2007 10:17

we made a mock surrealist film once called La ballon rose

Guadalupe · 30/08/2007 10:18

and we held a phoney awards ceremony in town. It was great fun.
