For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

TBH zippi - he likes you but he is not going as deep and meaningful as you are - his messages is lighter. He is not just humouring you. This is all my opinion mind.

Idris - what was your supper? Please?

BBBee · 30/08/2007 09:10

no filthy - that is good - there is a theme - purple hat and anked apart from plums covering the unmentionables. Gordon will love it.

BBBee · 30/08/2007 09:13

boco - I went on katie melua thread but all mine were deemed very dark and I only put the cheery ones up. Will stay away!

IdrisTheDragon · 30/08/2007 09:15

If I say what I had, I might be thrown out of the thread, never to be allowed on again.

IdrisTheDragon · 30/08/2007 09:16

FMV I am very of you. I don't think you will be put in any Charlie Bucket-eske room either .

BBBee · 30/08/2007 09:16

am intrigued now - and we have all done awful stuff and never thrown off the thread.

Was it a deep fried mars bar?

BBBee · 30/08/2007 09:19

FMV - have you read India Knight's book - there is a bit in it where her and her friend solve a problem by pretending to be madonna - 'what would maddonna do' or something. So that is what you do - you pretend you are maddonna and you swan in and give off an aura of confidendce and respect.

I once did some work for the BBC and I was scared and I did this Maddonna thing - not that I went in all pointy bra and oiled boys but I was all kind ofhead held high IYSWIM.

BBBee · 30/08/2007 09:20

(maddonna the singer not madoanna mother of christ)

Guadalupe · 30/08/2007 09:21

Agree with Bee, he isn't humouring you, but he's definitely lightening the conversation, with balloons! He's interested though, and he's asking you a question. Good sign.

Have had a nectarine and some very black grapes. I ate a whole sweet potato before I went to bed last night. I think that probably isn't a good thing.

BBBee · 30/08/2007 09:22

yes quad - the way he asks a question back is very telling - he is keeping the conversation flowing - he wants you to post back.

Guadalupe · 30/08/2007 09:23

I thought deep fried mars bars was an urban myth but we saw a sign for some in Edinburgh

IdrisTheDragon · 30/08/2007 09:24

OK - it was a pot noodle .

zippitippitoes · 30/08/2007 09:28

thanks..he is someone whom I'm sure is writing to lots of people..he is the one who said he'd come and stay the night last week the night before he went to turkey..he is very cheeky and light hearted

but also has a kind of deeper side

and on the plus side he did write to me first to begin with

but i know he is a ladies man..I think he just finds me a curiosity (he is far too young for me btw)

so i have to think of it as a fun friend thing

Boco · 30/08/2007 09:38

I thought guadalupe was a fruit - from the guadalupe palm - like dates. Def also an island. Also it's a virgin saint type lady, i'll find some links - and i was sure it was 'gwarda-loop'.

lady of guadalupe

guadalupe palm and fruit

Boco · 30/08/2007 09:44

I think it'd be a great idea to go to the BBC and pretend to be Madonna mother of Christ.

zippitippitoes · 30/08/2007 09:46

i thought it was a place not a fruit

Boco · 30/08/2007 09:49

Is is a place - that is the main thing that it is, i guess the palm and the virgin all hang out there.

Boco · 30/08/2007 09:50

Zippi i like his balloon answer. has he gone to live in Turkey though?

IdrisTheDragon · 30/08/2007 09:50

Can I stay. Please?

(DH cooked real food. Should have had that. But I had sudden insatiable need for the food I had. I will start doing star jumps as a penance. Although maybe not in the office ).

zippitippitoes · 30/08/2007 09:52

yep......

zippitippitoes · 30/08/2007 09:55

I haven't done any kniting for a bout a hundred years

Guadalupe · 30/08/2007 09:56

Did you really enjoy it though, really, even with all the nasty peas floating around in the dust before you poured the water on? Hmm?

I think the more healthy food you eat the less you can tolerate plastic food. I used to love those wonton noodles, couldn't eat them now though. I had sausage chips and beans in a service station on Tuesday and it was so disgusting I was cross with myself. Bad food depresses me, financally and digestively. I just wanted something warm and that was the only thing left as they were just about to close.

I should let it go really shouldn't I

ahundredtimes · 30/08/2007 09:57

Zippi - I like the balloon thing too. But he is talking about himself alot. I like him to ask some questions about you, not just answer questions about himself.

However, he isn't humouring you - why would he bother? - but proceed with a light heart I think.
