For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

FK you must go to Edinburgh. It is a wonderful place.

Guadaloupe is pronounced Gwada-loop.

I did ask about white tea, yes, I bought some for the first time and wondered if anyone knew anyhng about it. I think it sounds lovely and the box looked nice (Clipper) so I thought I'd give it go.

zippitippitoes · 29/08/2007 22:03

i think i can see nertner becoming my catchphrase in this context...

oh "Guadalup-ay" for sure.

Oh MrsC / Guadalup-ay - that show sounds really divine - all crazy and nuts and very 'fringe'. Did you have the best time? I had the best time - isn't it fab.

Did you eat crepes?
Did youi see Stuart Lee with his baby?
Did you see potted potter?
did you just feel so wwonderfully wonderful?

Ahhhh. Are you going agin next year?

I felt all bouncy this morning and am all emotional now. Did anyone hear PM today - the bit where Mandela was talking about the statue and about him and his friend saying they wishes one day there was a statue of a black man and now ther is and it is him. I got all tearful and unexpected.

Mrs C how did you meet your DP?

Also anyone else who hasn't answred yet. I declare this my favourite topic on MN.

Guadalupe · 29/08/2007 22:05

Bbee - I, I, I can't keep up with questions!

Er, I said how I met DH further down a bit, and thank you so much for the tips.

It was a little early for us, the professer bum show, and DS1 was nervous about the last book's secrets being leaked with potter number seven. We did the bubble man and bouncey things and lots of street shows and so on.

BBBee · 29/08/2007 22:18

oh mrs c - I am so glad you had fun. Prof bum is wonderful - I don't know why they play so early - we only went bcause we saw it last year and knew how good it was. Oh and there were leaks in potted potter - but do go if they tour - is brilliant.

Okay - am scrolling to read your meet up tale.

oh yes I see your tale. I like that he was in a sling.

100 I like your dd saying 'he doesn't know anything' that made me smile.

I have had medicine and my bite is not so annoying.

Are my questions annoying?

BBBee · 29/08/2007 22:23

franny I want to ask you stuff - silly stuff - but will wait unti lyou have time - or I will start another thread and lure you to it at another juncture.

NotReallyHerePossum · 29/08/2007 22:24

ah FMV, if you're not eating there then you can wear what the hell you like, dress codes only apply to dining/drinking areas. Anyone who looks askance at you, just give them a Stare and sweep on past, hugging all your lovely Hamleys toys to your glowing, beaming self. Anyway, I bet you look stunning just as you are.
I always remind myself that I once mistook the world's biggest diamond dealer for a tramp. Truly, he had a stained suit and was carrying a tatty plastic bag in lieu of a briefcase, and I don't think he'd washed his hair or cleaned his teeth in months. If I ever feel intimidated in a place because my clothes are generally from Oxfam and everyone else is in Milan couture, I just hold my head high and mutter to myself, "well at least I Wash".
Mrs C, I love your new name, I like to think of a sultry, exotic Hispanic minx exciting and upsetting the sturdy denizens of Norfolk

BBBee · 29/08/2007 22:26

oh boco I so want you to get married - he will do that thinking thing with his mouth and all your friends will come and the grunting mug one will fall in love with the misunderstood teacher one and you will post about it all and we shall cry.

BBBee · 29/08/2007 22:27

did you notice what LL had for supper?

Warm lentil, ginger, garlic salad with lots of spinach, rocket & watercress.

battlestar · 29/08/2007 22:28

Isn't guadaloupe a type of melon? Or am I completely wrong?

I drink white tea sometimes.

BBBee, I love the way you talk. You make me smile.

Guadalupe · 29/08/2007 22:41

Possum - lol at me upsetting the sturdy denizens of Norfolk

expatinscotland · 29/08/2007 22:42

Am eagerly awaiting pumpkin season here! Pumpkin soup, roast pumpkin wedges and seeds, pumpkin risotto and pumpkin pie. Not to mention butternut squash season.

TooTicky · 29/08/2007 22:44

Farmers market was good 100x. We particularly like the stall with the bread - lots of spelt. Made by nice sort of religious people in Devon. Oh, and the lovely Days Cottage apple juice people. Farmers markets in Wiltshire tend to be disappointing. Well, Salisbury is okayish. What is the Bath one like?

Guadalupe · 29/08/2007 22:44

I have no idea what a Guadalupe is, I've never heard of it before. Are you thinking of Cantaloupe, Toot?
