For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Boco · 28/08/2007 10:25

Phew 100x, came on to check on small-100, glad she's ok. You weren't neurotic at all, not even on my scale of neurotic mothering. When my dd2 had anaphylactic rash i was insane for 3 solid days.

I need a brief explanation of what is going on with superfoods, i don't understand. I eat blueberries every day though.

My dd2 (2 1/2) is being very funny - she has a small toy pig that she's called Peter Shekalod and she's been talking to him all morning - keep thinking there's some Israeli man in the house 'Peter Shekalod, would you like to tell me about your family?' and 'Mummy, Peter Shekalod doesn't like jam on toast, ONLY BUTTER please'.

Boco · 28/08/2007 10:27

Zippi you're brilliant, i'd love to meet you, I really enjoy your posts (well obviously i don't mean when you're feeling sad)

Lullabyloo · 28/08/2007 10:31

oh 100x what a relief

can I add alliums of any kind & artichokes

Lullabyloo · 28/08/2007 10:34

lol at DD Boco

ds is being FC this morning & keeps Yo Ho Ho ing,Merry Christmas & staring hopefully out of the window for signs of snow

Lullabyloo · 28/08/2007 10:38

off to organic shop..we have run out of houmus which is a disaster in ds's eyes & need lentils, quinoa, breakfast cereals, herb teas & bread.

must get my act together & go & then we can squeeze in the park too.Am shattered today though...have had too longish days.Yesterday was lovely though, picnic, row boat, mini steam trains, fayre, swimming & antique book shop forage.

BBBee · 28/08/2007 11:19

dont ask me to expose my angst - will get all woody allen on you.

I love your DD Boco. My DD calls my desk 'Robin Frascoe' ("mummy leave Robin Frascoe and make the supper").

LL - did you once marinate tofu in basil? I think about your food a lot - and pruners chanterelles for breakfast.

superfoods - I love it. I have some algae somewhere amd we eat seaweed.

I am not lying here - I have read something about coffee being a superfood - I realy have.

BBBee · 28/08/2007 11:20

LL you are doing loads - aen't you tired?

FrannyandZooey · 28/08/2007 11:20

Oh 100 you were not neurotic you were MARVELLOUS

I wanted to say "you are being very calm, aren't you?" but realised it might make you think you should be worrying MORE, or something

I know you were obv very concerned but I would have been in bits. You were typing, and everything, and it was spelt right. Hoorah for you and hoorah for dd.

LL woohoo at all your fantastic food as usual. Now if we have a superfood competition, I wonder who is likely to win then? Hmmm let me think...

Am just about to email people about the meet up. If I miss you out I am just being crap, it is NOT PERSONAL. Please harrass me until I email everyone that I should.

Have just eaten whole punnet of blueberries. Probably 3 portions? They were £1 in evil Sainsbo's. Feel faintly nauseous. And blue.

BBBee · 28/08/2007 11:21

avu - what are you studying?

BBBee · 28/08/2007 11:23

100 - I thought you seemed calm and it was scary even from where I am sitting. I get in such a state when they are ill that i have to write down everything - there are loads of bits of papaer round my house that say things like 10am calpol, 2pm had a wee. Is so horrible when they are ill. How is she now?

BBBee · 28/08/2007 11:29

f&z oh no am I not on the list? Are you scared of my angst?

ahundredtimes · 28/08/2007 11:40

Oh good I'm glad I seemed calm. I think I might be quite calm in moments of crisis actually, often punctuated with inappropriate humour though I've noticed.

This is why the doctor thought I was sensible perhaps. I didn't look very sensible. I was wearing a very weird collection of clothes and my swimming costume.

Anyway. All fine. She's in bed sleeping, neurofenned up to the eye-balls. Let's not talk about it anymore.

I love the pig and the desk thing. That's very funny. DS2 has made the Wombles burrow upstairs. It's rather good, has a bed for Orinnocho, and a kitchen, and Uncle Bulgaria's newspaper. Has lots of little signs up. I said to him, I always wanted to touch the Wombles noses when I was little, 'Yes' he beamed, 'I know EXACTLY what you mean.'

FrannyandZooey · 28/08/2007 11:41

I have mailed:

TooT, MrsC, Tatties, Zippi, Wombling, Boco, Avi, FMF, Greeny, 100x, BBB, LL, 3andnomore, PSW, Lionheart, Possum, FrayedKnot.

Dolly I can't find your email address - sorry - could you mail me again please?

Have I missed anyone that wanted to come? If anyone doesn't get their email, just shout

100 only just caught up with this and am at work so can't stay on long but have a well-meaning hippy hug from me. What an horrendous night you must have had.
(and without wishing to be scaremongery, the problem is that once a doctor told me ''it's just flu, go home, give calpol and calm daown dear..'' and guess what - it was meningitis. (all in past and no ill effects btw) So I have an inkling of how you were feeling last night.

Hello to everyone else. And for the record, today I have had blueberries, blackberries a banana and some plums. Chicken salad (olives, lettuce, tomatoes, peppers, mange toutes, cucumber, podded peas, red onion) and orange juice for lunch.
So well on the way to 10 today. Is popcorn counted as anything? (off to cinema tonight)

ahundredtimes · 28/08/2007 12:14

Oh dear FMV. That is scary. (Okay, now I've moved on and everything and we're not discussing it anymore - BUT what happened that you went back? I mean what signs became apparent that they really were not very well and it was meningitis. . . .)

Thank you for your email Franny. I'm going to respond in a sec. You are incredibly organised, with links and 'you'll have to do this yourself'. I like that bit.
