For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Dd1 has that Avi - or the children's version - Cadoo? It's good fun.

TooTicky · 25/08/2007 23:32

Cariboo Franny. Ds2 has it.

FrannyandZooey · 25/08/2007 23:34

Yes that's it - unusual and fun and easy

Hello, thought i'd pop in before i go to bed. I see 100x is back and sharing - gosh what happened in Spain? You're sharing about peeing in the sea - i guess it's a start, we'll start with urine and work up to other stuff.

BBBee, still mainlining the coffee - how was Edinburgh?

Hope Lully is ok today.

Got a friend staying for a few days - had another lovely day on the beach - the girls and dp swam in the sea. It's my most child friendly childless friend - which is handy, she's not alarmed by them, she actually backs them up in their badness though, sympathises with any naughtiness, but that's ok.

Anyway, i've been drinking champagne and not sure if i'm rambling in a dull way, so i'll go and clean my teeth.

ahundredtimes · 25/08/2007 23:37

Avi have you been playing children's games with you in-laws? Is this where we've all been going wrong.

I'm going to get the playdough and Buckaroo out next time mine come round.

OK. I will think about Mouse Action. I think I'd better clean the house more too. I think it reflects very badly on me.

And BB, yes we shall discuss coffee. But I've tried Franny's patience quite a lot already, so have to tread carefully. We shall just throw it in from time to time, lightly, in a carefree very healthy vegetably way. 'Oh and after my borage, I tried an Illy espresso, they went so well' like that.

Night all. Wish me luck. I'm going to drag ds2 up and stamp my feet as I go.

FrannyandZooey · 25/08/2007 23:38

Oh I hope not franny, she would cope very badly with anything like that - she has a very complicated hair care routine as it is.

I bf all my dcs to sleep until I just couldn't stand to. Does that sound awful? I still bf dd2 to sleep. I think there comes a time when you need a bit of freedom - for your sake and theirs. Independence and all that.
Am feeling sort of chewed atm - dd2 is growing back teeth and having a growth spurt.

very wise, Toot. Am feeling vvvv frustrated that I can't attend an academic conference I really need to go to, because it's too far away and hours too long and DS still mainly dependant on me for food & drink. OK for now but long term I don't want to miss so many of such opportunities that I get grumpy and cross with DS, best to quit while I'm winning, although that won't be for a while . Being a working mother is the hardest thing in the entire damn universe. My biology and my hormones conspire against me. I want nothing more than to be feeding DS right now but in doing so, my career is slowly but surely, every event I don't turn up to, disappearing down the lav. Hence i come on here to distract myself with some mad fun because otherwise I would just feel too sad.

OP posts:
ahundredtimes · 25/08/2007 23:51

Why are you all going to wear t-shirts?

I felt like BB when I said that.
