For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

um - okay the mouse - spray some old perfume around and keep thudding your feet ont he floor. they hate that.

FrannyandZooey · 25/08/2007 23:13

oh 100 I am sorry I don't think it will do you any harm just sitting there behind the fridge but I think in the long term you should get rid

we had a rat in our garden and dp got very bothered and said we had to get a man to poison it. I demurred until I left baby ds in highchair for a minute and came back to find rat on dining room windowsill peering in at him and licking its chops

Oh god, nobody wants to know about my bladder. I have over-shared

BBBee · 25/08/2007 23:15

I need to go to bed but I need to talk about coffee too - in the near future. Please let's.

FrannyandZooey · 25/08/2007 23:15

In A Little Princess she tames a mouse called Melchisedec. So they can't be all bad.

Oh yes, I love my having a sofa in the kitchen too. I've always wanted one. I think it the height of sophistication. It is very dirty though, with bits of food and things, but looks homely. I expect the mouse has been relaxing there all week.

DS2 sort of clunks against me if I pick him up - and he falls asleep in weird places quite often. I feel like I have to drape him over my shoulder and still his feet trail along the floor.

BBBee · 25/08/2007 23:15

TT - trampoline?
bouncy castle?

FrannyandZooey · 25/08/2007 23:15

Oh TooT I think we all just thought "hey ho". I doubt there is anyone here with a pristine pelvic floor

Do you want to borrow our cat? I could pop her on the bus - oh no, the last one's gone.

BBBee · 25/08/2007 23:16

star jumps in davina work out?

(if you look hard you can see that she does a bit of wee too.)

ahundredtimes · 25/08/2007 23:17

TT - I'd love to know about your bladder. Really, I would. Please tell. By the way, I weed in the sea in Spain too. Felt rather nice.

See I'm sharing. I shared my thoughts on 8 y o boys and I think Franny is going to ask me to leave.

I want the mouse to go somewhere else so I can drag ds2 up the stairs.

TooTicky · 25/08/2007 23:18

I can't believe I just said that. I am a vegan fgs and seriously discourage hunting.

BBBee, no, nothing so dramatic.

ahundredtimes · 25/08/2007 23:19

Can't cats hunt mice in a vegan world?

TooTicky · 25/08/2007 23:22

Oh, really 100x? Well, it was just that we were walking along the beach and everybody was being so slow and walking around in circles and completely ignoring my hurry up noises and - well, I didn't quite make it
So close! It was quite a surprise I can tell you.

ahundredtimes · 25/08/2007 23:22

I am sitting here banging my feet on the floor like a mad woman, it's making me all jangly and nervous.

I haven't slept for days.

You've all gone.

ahundredtimes · 25/08/2007 23:23

Oh no TT's here. Oh TT, that is not a nice moment. I find it is much worse when it's cold.

FrannyandZooey · 25/08/2007 23:24

LOL at running close to my wind

you'll regret it

Speaking as one who has trodden on a bloodied piece of rodent spinal cord first thing in the morning, no they damn well can't. It's not as if they actually eat them properly anyway.

my cat used to leave tails and sometimes whole tiny organs on my bed for me

he meant it out of love

The mouse won't hurt you 100x but they do poo and wee an awful lot, and eat things, and if it's pregnant...

I know it

we have the toddler game (name escapes me) made by the same company and it is very sweet. Ds gets very excited when you put the last ball in and the treasure chest opens
