FAB TITLE BY FMF (AND BBB)

For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

BBBee, I haven't used my borage - just admired it. I grew it to attract bees - I love bees. Also because it has such an evocative, medieval sort of name. Will grow it again next year and use it for something I think.

100x, how exciting! I did think of you while I was there.

Night night Tatties.

MrsCarrot · 18/08/2007 00:06

to clear the skull fuzz

BBBee · 18/08/2007 00:07

how nice - you sound like someone from a book.

TooTicky · 18/08/2007 00:07

MrsC, you have skull fuzz that induces laptops? You do need to sleep

ahundredtimes · 18/08/2007 00:07

I absolutely ADORE BB with her questions. This is official.

You could have knocked on my door. I am a stones throw away. You might have seen us. We went out rather in a terrible mess, ds2 had his pyjamas on and an anorak In fact we went past the park and said 'Isn't it busy?' to eachother.

Boco · 18/08/2007 00:07

No, no swans, and not Essex - thought it was somewhere more like - Gloucester.

TooTicky · 18/08/2007 00:09

My ds2 wore pyjamas out today - his skeleton ones. He says they are day time clothes now.

ahundredtimes · 18/08/2007 00:09

Oh. I know why I thought it was Finchingfield. Was a picture of Finchingfield above the review. That's it. Not a good review. Oh well, will give the 9 a go.

I must go now. We are in disarray and I'm avoiding it.

See you next week.

Boco - look after BB please. I want her still to be asking questions when I come back. She MUST keep drinking the coffee.

BBBee · 18/08/2007 00:19

ha - I will be dry on your return!

bed now.

MrsC - shall I attempt tp communicate with you if I see any great edingburgh stuff? My dcs are 7 and 5 - last year they adored 'Professor Bum and the Story Machine.'

BBBee · 18/08/2007 00:19

have a good holiday 100.

FrannyandZooey · 18/08/2007 07:51

[fear] My bad job is in Essex, with swans. I think we are all blending into one big vegetabley consciousness which is why we keep getting skull fuzz and having flashes of each others lives, and wanting to share our houses with each other, and stuff.

Have had apple, pear, nectarine, grapes. I am doing REALLY shit at the exercise bit and the vegetable bit, but I seem to be either working or out, all the time this week. And as soon as I get over this work trauma I have my parents coming, tomorrow.

How's zippi? Zippi how are you?

Good luck today, Franny, they sound like horrids.

You will have to perfect your look, you know the one that will freeze loofahs and cause thugs to wee in their pants.

It's the only way.

100 have a fab holiday (your non-preparedness has been funny to read, anyhow) and MrsC also.

What are you studying with the OU, avi? Are you enjoying it?

DC is but a boy.

lionheart · 18/08/2007 10:20

DR I mean. No idea how old DC might be.

BBBee · 18/08/2007 11:10

hope it goes well fz

zippi??

avi - be more explicit about giving up coffee - symptoms etc. Have had my one and only cup for the day.

I mis NQC - when is she back - she makes me feel all grown up.

Boco · 18/08/2007 11:27

I need to give up mumsnet. Tell me to fuck off again.

I woke up this morning with a weird lesion on my eye, and i googled it, and it said it's usual in old people, or people in very hot climates who don't wear sunglasses, or, wait for it - people who stare at computer screens for a long time. And if it doesn't go away quickly, then it stays forever. It's not attractive.

FrayedKnot · 18/08/2007 11:28

Morning

had to leave abruptdly last night due to overtired DH in a muddle with an unmade bed.

Was up at 6.30, have done 2 hours of housework, and have eaten no f&v today at all.

Pea soup for lunch though!

Going out tonight as it's our Wedding Anniversary

F&Z the job sounds awful

That's about all I gleaned from the last zillion posts.

Probably not be back tomorrow night as have family staying tonight and all sorts of shenanigans tomorrow ref 92 yr old grandmother, who is having a party.

Have a good weekend everyone

FrayedKnot · 18/08/2007 11:30

Lesion, Boco?

That sounds concerning

Boco · 18/08/2007 11:42

Oh i'm a bit of a hypochondriac, it's probably not that bad, but hate the thought of it being permanent as it doesn't look very nice. Got an appointment at optician this afternoon.

FrayedKnot · 18/08/2007 11:47

I'm glad you are getting it checked out. I hope it's nothing to worry about.

Can you see a mark on your eye?

Boco · 18/08/2007 12:08

Yes, it's horrible, like a blob of yellow and all bloodshot, and it feels like there's something in my eye.

FrannyandZooey · 18/08/2007 15:38

Oh Boco Oh dear. are we all going to get it? What did the optician say?

I am feeling such a fraud about whining on last night. I am truly sorry. The two lively boys were not there today, and the little one was, and so were 4 other children under 5. It was lovely and they all played beautifully and danced with ribbons and it was a very great relief indeed. And only one more to go and if the lively boys are there (I think they will be) I can just....ah well I don't know. But hoorah today is over.

FrannyandZooey · 18/08/2007 15:39

And there's nowt wrong with being but a boy IMO. Some of my very favourite boyfriends have been but boys

OP posts:
lionheart · 18/08/2007 15:43

But this one was a little boy and then a bigger boy and then even bigger. It's not like he turned up fully grown.

What other boys, anyway? Are you a Take That fan or something?

Boco, hope the optician gets it sorted for you.
