For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Competitive? Moi? Goodness no you must have me confused with some OTHER Franny

(who but a highly competitive fraek would start a long running thread about how much FRUIT she eats, eh? )

Franny, usually you have beaten everyone else by around 9.20 am. It's the f+v equivalent of taking sweets from a baby.

BBBee · 04/08/2007 21:46

don't know - always assumed it was a slow worm but no idea if that is right.

Hang onm /link{http://www.bbc.co.uk/nature/wildfacts/factfiles/281.shtml\slow worm}

It looked quite a lot like that. You can see the lizard qualities - a small head and it was very pretty.

Would like to see the thing that you mentioned that 100 won't like - was it daytime?

FrannyandZooey · 04/08/2007 21:46

I blame our behaviourist, consumerist society

I am a victim

BBBee · 04/08/2007 21:47

slow worm

FrannyandZooey · 04/08/2007 21:49

blimey it looks like a SNAKE

I would have probably made a run for it

BBB it was daytime but a lot of the owls were awake. I'm afraid the camera ran out of batteries (story of my life) so I only got ds levitating and the big old tree.

FrannyandZooey · 04/08/2007 21:49

ooh sorry cross posts

I was marvelling at the worm of slowness

BBBee · 04/08/2007 21:56

my computer is really slow tonight as well - very annoying - am going to pack camping stuff.

Boco - if you are about email me on d i m p l e d t h i g h s at hotmail dot com

if you still fancy a castle picnic on monday - looks a very easy place for us to drop into for an hour or so.

BBBee · 04/08/2007 21:56

not com

DOH!

FrannyandZooey · 04/08/2007 22:01

Was it fast BBB? If that thing came at me fast I would run off gibbering

OP posts:
lionheart · 04/08/2007 22:11

Are you very afraid of these kind of things? More so than the other (with the legs) kind of things?

Tatties · 04/08/2007 22:14

Evening all

I can't possibly catch up, but from what I remember:

Lionheart that book looks interesting

and

Franny did you get shuffle?

FrannyandZooey · 04/08/2007 22:14

Well, I think I quite like snakes really, or at least I have when I have seen them at shows and things

the one BB linked to just looks evil, though. It has bad thoughts in its head, you can tell.

Franny your loooong walk around enormous woods sounds lovely. Your ds is so funny! Glad your day went well.

BBBee were you d i m p...etc? I saw your thread about someone recognising you a while ago! Is she leaving you alone now?!

100x did you shout at your friends? I think I would have been inclined to leave a key under the mat! Hope you all had a lie in this morning!

F&V intake POOR. DH got up with dd and I got up at 10 . Had raisins on my bran flakes. Then had bacon and avocado sandwich when the Grand Prix was on. Then tonight I went out for dinner and had 3 courses by accident!! Whole cooked Brie, Pasta in tomato sauce with salmon and huge chocolate ice cream sundae with profiteroles, chocolate cake, maltesers, flake... you get the idea!

Tatties · 04/08/2007 22:24

Aww , your pics are lovely as always Franny

Tatties · 04/08/2007 22:25

Oh oh, I went to the gym today

pinkspottywellies · 04/08/2007 22:27

My friend at school had a snake. They are quite nice to hold. Franny, how many points would my local black kite get in the book? I might go and have a look if I can get points! The thing you don't like with legs is the kind that one sometimes finds in the bath isn't it? I don't know if I can use the 'a' word, I know you don't like the 's' word....

FrannyandZooey · 04/08/2007 22:29

oooh Tatties how was it?

My my, f+v, I nearly forgot. Had big salad with penultimate garden lettuces, carrot, avocado, cucumber, beetroot, green pepper and....erm...no, that was it. Plus an apple and an orange.

PSW a lie-in AND going out for dinner Lovely. Was it your birthday? Ooh I think it was, wasn't it?

It is quite thought provoking, tatties, but not overly rhetorical so it doesn't feel like you're being hit with over the head with a big stick when you read it.

You might have a point there, Franny, but if you are going all sociological what about the self-fulfilling prophecy?

Some creatures just look evil but their hearts are fluffy and kind. Their true selves are divine.

FrannyandZooey · 04/08/2007 22:34

An 'a' word? OMG what is an 'a' word? [nervous] I only object strongly in thread titles where I can't avoid it. You watch, in the next month there will be loads of them

"HELP GIANT SPIDER RUNNING ACROSS THE FLOOR VERY FAST IN THAT SCUTTLY WAY"

"OOER ENORMOUS HUGE SPIDER RIGHT BEHIND YOU LOOK!!! OOOH IT'S RUNNING UP YOUR LEG"

unbelievably the black kite doesn't score any points at all, nor does a mandarin duck, an emu, or an eagle owl. These are disappointments I I mean DS has had to bear. But we did get 15 for a red kite which I thought was quite mingy. If I was in charge of writing the I Spy books I would do

Black kite ........FANTASTIC!!! 3 hundred points YAYYYYYYYYY!
