For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Oh yes, boot camp.

You are right about those nectarines Franny because I have just checked them and had to eat the two that have ripened since this morning,

just to save them from themselves, you understand.

Did we get to the bottom of MRsC's teepee adventure? I was hoping for pics and all that.

FrannyandZooey · 05/08/2007 21:34

HAH I knew it

I speak the language of the nectarine

A skill that must be nurtured if it is to survive the twenty-first century.

you sound v manic this eve

I would prepare my originsal name but i deregistered 3 times this year and so have been reduced to this

I have managed some more salad but otherwise a pathetic day..though probably should finish off the squashy raspberries and strawberries

zippit · 05/08/2007 22:10

garbage prefer

MrsCarrot · 05/08/2007 22:22

Hmm, Zippit, are you LL?

Lovely day at the beach today, house a total pigsty now though. DH caught an express press van as it passed while we unloaded sandy towels and he said to me, 'saves you a job, eh?' Cheek! Who irons their dh's shirts these days?

PSW - No crab, we went to Waxham, just dunes and fields and sea, no shops/loos/ice-cream etc but we had taken sandwiches and sushi and pimms with those fab little pimms ice cubes that have mint, orange and cucumber frozen in them so it wasn't exactly cilinary deprivation.

Dinner was chicken and mango curry with aduki and soy bean salad, spinach and quinoi. I have some catching up to do, I am in my week of eating wheat, and despite being a total gasbag have enjoyed a few pasties and cider

MrsCarrot · 05/08/2007 22:25

Lionhart- I lost my camera somewhere in the tipi till we packed up but we were having fun with a camcorder so once I work out how to do stills I might post one up.

FMV - I'm so pleased you liked it too, what a coincidence. Did you stay in Jackie by any chance?

FrannyandZooey · 05/08/2007 22:26

Zippi I am sure MN would let you have your toes back again if you asked. You are very perceptive - have been eating chocolate cake and after a week with no sugar am bouncing off the walls

Is anyone else trying to watch the Perseids? We can't see anything here but our neighbours have a kind of floodlt conservatory and I don't think it is helping
