For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

PNM.

There are some very odd driving instructors around, aren't there?

There's a compnay here called Road Hogs and it's emblem is a giant pink pig on the side of the car.

Not exactly enticing.

ahundredtimes · 26/07/2007 21:58

I've had a few and they always seem so uncomfortable, in their skins I mean. Not to mention in the small hatchback with me, I suppose.

Hello PNM.

lionheart · 26/07/2007 22:02

I had one who had some kind of a break-down (psychological, that is) and was just back at work.

He couldn't remember how to do reverse parking and I had to tell him.

It was awful. I didn't go back to him and felt horrid about that too.

3andnomore · 26/07/2007 22:13

pnm...is that also a abbreviation for something else......(paranoia settling in here)...possibly give myself a name that can be shortened to pmt/pms...would be appropriate most times, lol...
I suppose I stick with good ole 3andnomore, as people get so easily confuddled....lol...although, I am aware it's a really boring name, of course....

3andnomore · 26/07/2007 22:14

and lionheart..now that is bad, if you have to explain the basics to your instructor, lol...

lionheart · 26/07/2007 22:15

Poor man.

Oh Franny, I have unearthed Neptune's cloak, the hat belonging to the sort of ghostly looking purple pirate and the swan knight's flag. I'll send them along. There is also a pair of pirate earrings (sure they go with one of the chaps I sent you - if you remove his hair you will see a sort of dip on either side of his head) but they have temporarily disappeared again.

TooTicky · 26/07/2007 22:42

LL, ds1 has a bed full of badgers. He has loved them ever since he stopped being scared of them at age

FrannyandZooey · 26/07/2007 22:45

Oh TooT if you do (and you needn't feel any imperative to do so, we are quite happy with what we have), please send your address again also

I still owe you money

lionheart · 26/07/2007 22:48

I heart pirates (especially when you can change their hair).

TooTicky · 26/07/2007 23:01

Seems silly to hang onto them. I'll see if I can dig up your email address.

3andnomore · 27/07/2007 08:58

Morning all....had a shite night my arm was a bit sore...probably not helped by the fact that I tend to lay on that side, and therefore inevitable did during the nihgt, waking myself up because it hurt....and for whatever reason my 2 younger ds's decided they would wake up a few times in the night....not sure what that was all about...
Anyways, so far eating 2 peaches and a pear.

No exercise today, I thought I might get away with doing some cardio, but even that hurts
But will sort of the boys bedrooms upstairs...need to get my house cleaned and all that anyway, what with my friend coming next week.

BBBee · 27/07/2007 08:59

3andnomore · 27/07/2007 08:59

Lullabyloo · 27/07/2007 08:59

BBBee · 27/07/2007 09:01

3andnomore · 27/07/2007 09:02

BBB, not taken anything yet...as it is bearable....and as for making everyone be nice to me.....now wouldn't that be nice, lol...don't think it's gonna happen of course....

MrsCarrot · 27/07/2007 09:54

Right- I am quaffing smoothie and cider vinegar to try and stem off my sore throat.

I am going to say goodbye now, so I cannot waste time popping in and out of here all day instead of packing!

Hurray for holidays, please don't let it rain all week, please please please with an undyed naturally sweetened cherry . I phoned to check how bad the ground is and she said it's bad, but we are on a plateau, whicjh sounds highish, or not lowish anyway. Byeeee

3andnomore · 27/07/2007 10:01

Good time away MrsC and I hope that your sore throat won't bother you any longer
MUst say, dFIL swears on cider vinegar and will drink a spoon of cider vinegar in a glass of water daily! I tried that, but couldn't bring myself to drink it, lol....
