For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

We made it to the beach with a picnic and it didn't rain! Well, there was a storm happening over Sizewell B (we were in Walberswick) but it sort of dispersed over the sea. Probably dissolved over it slightly offputting that dome like cap.

Franny - Acai berries, pronouned ass-sai-eee, is a Brazilian super berry, packed with anti-oxidants. My juice man has them (he is brazilian) and Innocent do one, and PJ's.
acai berry

Toot - I don't really know why you might bloat in the day and feel fine in the evening. My instinct might be that it bloats you and makes you sluggish in the day while you are active, but at night that sluggishness translates into sleepiness which is fine, and you're resting so it can digest? I don't know, unless you're trying to lose weight I would have my bread then if you feel fine, trust your gut
Sorry, not very good taste to laugh at one's own joke twice! Thanks for cream tip!

Aviatrix- Oatly is a brand name for oat milk a bit like rice milk and the cream I am guessing is a sort of residue of it? Haven't tried it yet, not sure if I want to.

Lullaby - most of the cakes at our fete were homemade, but the woman behind me putting them in the kitchen looked shocked when I asked her not to put hers next to mine. They were also butterfly buns, but with precision circumferences, jam, piped buttercream (wtf?) and dusted wings! Honestly, some people must have LOADS of time or something My gluten dairy free ones all sold, though it could have been that they were the last ones for all I know.

Huge boring post, I feel, I am about to have more banana peanut rice cakes, who suggested those to me? They're not exactly low fat are they..

Very jealous of all your cycling, I long to whizz down a hill with my legs sticking out carefree. First I would need a bike, in fact I'd need a hill too, wrong part of the country.

FrannyandZooey · 07/07/2007 21:46

MrsC huge of Walberswick

did you crab?

OP posts:
TooTicky · 07/07/2007 21:54

Thanks MrsC, I will follow my gut instinct

at all of you who live near beaches.

Lots more of my salad from yesterday. Apricots, plums, mushrooms, tomatoes.

Made your banana cake Franny - popular with all but ds2. Also made carob brownies (to address our 3 bags of carob powder problem) - ds2 and I like them. And made small cake with carrot, raisins and banana - sugar-free - loved by all. And some barley and wheat bread. Bet it's all gone before tomorrow's out.

We went for a walk, rather than a ride, but a decently long one, and a half pint, which was very nice, good to take advantage of ILs being here.

FrannyandZooey · 07/07/2007 22:18

I did my 7 mile bike ride as usual

got eaten by about 10,000 mosquitoes

and swallowed about 17 flies

LOL Avi what is he doing?

FrannyandZooey · 07/07/2007 22:31

Use vrane, very reliable automatic sniping service and free to use one snipe at a time

Or if you don't fancy that, just put in your maximum bid as late on in the auction as you can

I would imagine the books would be quite popular? I would offer to do it for you but am going to be too busy tomorrow to be a reliable substitute...

Hey Tatt and Avi

name change would always be temporary, paps is my main stay and am thinking a spicy name which still shows the butterfly in me.

How about Paprika?

Papillon to me is also the lavender

God I am so sheltered I know nothing about sniping

FrannyandZooey · 07/07/2007 22:40

Papillon yes I am really enjoying the cool weather and all the rain is making things grow in my garden. I am also doing some new work coaching sports to teeny children (well, getting them to run around in a hall) which is very enjoyable

I will wait with anticipation for your spicy name. Paprikaillon maybe?

Avi good luck. The only thing about the sniping service is it can't work if you get one of those random security checks where you have to type in the numbers. So if it is essential that you get the books, just put in the latest possible high bid. If you can gamble a little, use the sniping service.

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 07/07/2007 22:41

Tatties hugely delayed cross post about Paprika

sniping is just placing ONE very effective bid at the last possible minute on eBay. It's the most successful bidding strategy you can use and will save you money and win auctions in the long run.

Have eaten raspberries, grapes, peach, raisins and strawberries for breakfast. Feel a bit of a fruit bloater actually

Have my mother and sister coming for lunch. Oh joy. My racing pulse rate will count as exercise I am sure.
