just something simple like an apple, bread and cheese or peanut butter will do. for now.

Tinker · 08/09/2004 20:29

I'll judge essbee as a lovely brave woman. Hope you start to turn a corner soon. x

Hello Essbee. Things will start to improve honestly and day by day you will start to feel better. So glad you went to the gp's and no-one, especially you, should ever feel ashamed of feeling depressed, it happens to the best of us . ((hugs))

Mirage · 08/09/2004 21:10

Hi Essbee,

I was thinking of you the other day, after I realised that I hadn't replied to your last email..I've been a bit 'out of it' lately, possibly due to stopping the AD's.

I'm sorry that you are feeling so low.I don't know all the ins & outs of everything that has happened, but from what I have read, you are doing the very best for your children.

I'm glad your Dr took you seriously & upped your dosage-20mg is what I was taking of Fluoxetine.

There is some wonderful advice & support on here & should you ever need a chat, you have my number & I'd love to hear from you.

Look after yourself, you are an incredibly strong person just to have made it this far.

I found that 10mg of Cipralex helped with my panic attack feelings and the voices in my head that said 'No-one likes you', but it wasn't enough to make me happy. I have now weaned myself off the drugs (changed from Cipralex to one called Zispin, then forgot to take it for a couple of days, so kept on 'forgetting', but that's another story!), but am prepared to have to go back on them if necessary. Don't feel ashamed EssBee, there is totally no need.

oh essbee,

Chinchilla · 08/09/2004 21:31

Life really is kicking you in the soft bits isn't it? I'm so sorry about your Aunt.

JuniperDewdrop · 08/09/2004 21:31

So sorry to hear about you Aunt (((((hugs))))

It's good to hear you had a good chat with the doc though. I was on 20mg of cipramil and didn't notice any difference in side effects when I increased? even if you do they don't last long hun, as scary as they are. I'm positive you'll find them a great help once the higher dosage kicks in. 20mg of cipralex isn't a strong dosage though as far as I know. It sounds like you have a good GP and I don't know about you but I prefer a female one (I know that probably sounds sexist )
Please, please don't feel ashamed. You're amazing.

How sad about your aunt, I'm sorry, Essbee.

You've made a big step today by seeing the dr and I hope the extra medicine kicks in asap. We're all here for you and rooting for you, okay?

KateandtheGirls · 08/09/2004 22:02

Sorry to hear about your aunt Essbee. That's not going to help when you're already feeling so low.

But I'm so glad you went to the doctors today.

It sounds as though you have a lot of MN friends who all view you as a wonderful person. I'm sure things will start to feel better soon.

JJ · 08/09/2004 22:26

bran · 08/09/2004 22:53

Hi Essbee, I'm sorry to hear about how you're feeling and your troubles. I don't have any experience or advice to share, but I hope you can see from all the responses here that you have loads of friends cheering you on and wanting to give moral support even if most of us can't be of much practical help. I'll be thinking of you, and if I believed in vibes I'd be sending good ones your way.

hello, essbee, you have so many friends here - I hope you see me as one of them (a virtual one at least). I'm really sorry about your news.

So your doctor now has an idea of the full picture? Well done.
