For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Tatties glad i'm not the only one. It's horrible and wrong. My poor dp has been so nice. While i had a bath and read my book he boiled my mooncup and ironed school dresses - i didn't ask him to. He just did it.

Boco · 26/06/2007 22:59

Franny please will you explain the Last Meetup. There are so many whisperings about it - what on earth happened? Did you all wrestle? Was it a pub fight? I really want to know.

Oh boco please tell me what the whisperings are, before she comes back. Just feed me the rumours.

Boco · 26/06/2007 23:02

Well nothing specific - that's why i'm asking just stuff like 'after the disaster of the Last Meetup...', and someone once said to someone else 'i realise you probably don't like me after what happened at the Last Meetup, but...etc'

MrsCarrot · 26/06/2007 23:02

boiled your mooncup, Boco? I am in Norwich and no, I've never been to Aldeburgh, I lurk on the local poetry scene a bit but less since having Lo.

100x, I'm intrigued too about the meets, there must be some awful ones as well as good, weird silences maybe, or maybe not with Dc's to talk to/about etc.

ahundredtimes · 26/06/2007 23:03

yes I'd picked that up too. I'd also picked up that the christmas meet up was very 'dark'.

MrsCarrot · 26/06/2007 23:03

ooh, tell more of the disaster

Tatties · 26/06/2007 23:03

Ooh Avi [excited] (Wasn't chasing you up btw)

Boco your dp sounds great. Mine is pretty good with this too. He's never boiled my Mooncup though... How are you getting on with it now?

Boco · 26/06/2007 23:03

oh and once franny forgot that she'd met someone at The Last Meetup, and they said, well you were rather involved with other things! [mind boggling emoticon]

MrsCarrot · 26/06/2007 23:04

Franny, where are you with the dark tales?

Tatties · 26/06/2007 23:05
ahundredtimes · 26/06/2007 23:05

oh yes but wasn't that the same person who said to her, 'you won't remember me' and she said, 'I'm sure I will' and they said, 'it was very DARK though wasn't it.'

Oh god come back franny and put us out of our misery.

Boco · 26/06/2007 23:05

This is only the second month tatties - bit nervous after last month. Sure it'll be fine.

MrsCarrot · 26/06/2007 23:06

I am glued to the screen, dh is drinking whiskey in the garden with candles and I'm NOT going

ahundredtimes · 26/06/2007 23:06

Boco, I like you a lot, but are you going to be talking about your mooncup, because....you know...is all me obviously, not you, but -

Boco · 26/06/2007 23:07

Yes yes that was it 100x [relieved to have a co-wierd stalker] Dark. Do you think they meant lighting wise - or dark as in full of dark happenings?

MrsCarrot · 26/06/2007 23:07

was there a 'Dark Tower'programme at school you had to watch

sorry, off topic, where are you, Franny?

ahundredtimes · 26/06/2007 23:08

lol. Well that's what I want to KNOW.

Okay. Let's imagine, firstly who was there do you think?

bet franny's gone off with Frances again, and not told us. I'm going to stalk her for real across the boards if she doesn't come back soon.

Tatties · 26/06/2007 23:08

Did anyone watch Dark Place?

Boco · 26/06/2007 23:09

Have you got a mooncup 100x? You really should try it. It's very interesting.

I promise that's it. No more talk of mooncup. Tonight.

Eyeshadow. So. I have rather nice range of greys / silvers and blues.

BeatrootandBenedick · 26/06/2007 23:09

OK OK - I HAVE SEEN YOU ALL

BeatrootandBenedick · 26/06/2007 23:09
Wink
ahundredtimes · 26/06/2007 23:10

ooh, where you there BB? Were you? In what way was it dark? Tell us about it.

TooTicky · 26/06/2007 23:11

Ooh, Franny, I'd imagined you were younger than me. I feel strangely comforted

100x, I am in the west country

Oh bugger, fmv, can I crystallise without the egg?

Have eaten ratatouille, ratatouille pizza, blackcurrants, gooseberries, raspberries and loganberries from the garden.

Ds2 called me out urgently earlier to see a dead vole and bird "before they go to heaven". He put a leaf on the bird as a plaster. I don't think he's quite sussed the complexities of deadness, but he's ever so sweet.

Could I just have some opinions, within the safe boundaries of this thread, as to how you would feel if your dcs were to have (as part of an enjoyable and worthwhile activity) a cup of squash and 20p worth of the most hideous sweets once a week? I'm not going to stop them, as I feel this would be a socially cruel thing to do, but I am not happy. Should I infiltrate the organisation and try to bring about subtle changes? Or should I just comfort myself with the fact that I ate similar as a child and more often. And they do eat very well as a rule.
