For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information if you follow the link at the very bottom of the page

TooTicky · 23/06/2007 19:06

Oh sorry, 1oz of cocoa powder (menstrual with memory problems)

Have had a stick of celery with peanut butter and raisins.

And some chocolate. I needed it.

FrannyandZooey · 23/06/2007 19:09

Ok, for triceps you put your arm straight up in the air and then bend it at the elbow so from shoulder to elbow is pointing straight up. Support it with other arm if needed. Hold weight in hand and straighten arm, then bend again, so weight goes down towards your shoulderblade

Does that make any sense? I bet you know that one anyway

Dd1 is taking part in a swimming gala on Thursday - would have felt mean not giving her a chance to practise. Should take them more often really...

lulumamasmentee · 23/06/2007 21:38

Ok I did better today, 2 bananas, 1 apple and porridge with raisins for breakfast.

I will do a big shop on Monday so i have lots of nice fruit to snack on. I currently have about £25 of those healthy start fruit and veg vouchers that I don't use each month and if I do use them then DD usually eats it all.

FrannyandZooey · 23/06/2007 21:44

Yes I've got my period too, which is why I mentioned it

how odd

I ate a lot of coconut today, was great we smashed it with a hammer. And oh dear, I can't think of anything else, a couple of apples and 2 bottles of water and oh yes, fish and chips for supper, with peas (all from Waitrose if this makes it in anyway better?)

Hmm. Seem to be sliding a bit.

FrannyandZooey · 23/06/2007 22:25

I was beautifully in synch with the full moon till I got ill

that screwed it right up

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 23/06/2007 22:26

I don't think coconut is a fruit, is it?

LOL at Waitrose

oh well obviously you score 10 then

I have no idea what it is. Probably in the Triangle Theory of U along with brassica.

They're all going for Enid B. We'll have to hang up our gym slips I think

FrannyandZooey · 23/06/2007 22:43

I think most of what she wrote was absolute tosh and slightly nasty, really

But Malory Towers is a tour de force
