I have a horrific spot in a fairly delicate place. It has been driving me fucking bonkers today, it was right on a knicker edge, and ow ow ow ow ow.

The spot isn't a white head, it's red, and weird and very very sore. Is lancing it worth doing? I've put isopropol alcohol on it, to try to dry it out ...

update please

I am seriously concerned about the condition of your arse sinus

NotQuiteCockney · 09/06/2007 21:56

Still sore. But better than yesterday. Oozing. Not nice. The lump under the skin is smaller, though, so hopefully it's on the mend.

TBH, I'm frightened of this alarming stuff I have to apply with a matchstick because it is too caustic for my fingers.

have you got proper cycling pants? with the pads and the like...

I find this helps with cyclist bum and numb fanjo

NotQuiteCockney · 09/06/2007 22:00

I think it was a spot? Well, four spots?

Actually, I don't know what a boil is - is it a big under-the-skin very pus-filled spot? If so, no, not really.

No proper cycling pants - you're not meant to wear knickers with them, are you? I can't go without. And washing proper cycling pants makes them go all funny, so I don't have them.

I do have quite a nice bike seat, at least it has a fanjo hole, so my fanjo is generally quite happy on the bike.

This was only really painful because the raised bit got rubbed.

ooh I don't have a fanjo hole in my bike seat - how does that work? is it just short at the front or is there a hole where it just hangs through

I'd consider investing in some cycle shorts - they really do help with bum issues

NotQuiteCockney · 09/06/2007 22:05

There's a whole where it rests. I'd like to think it didn't hang through, that sounds like a bad thing.

It's nice, I like it, it's less warm, too. I think.
