I have a horrific spot in a fairly delicate place. It has been driving me fucking bonkers today, it was right on a knicker edge, and ow ow ow ow ow.

The spot isn't a white head, it's red, and weird and very very sore. Is lancing it worth doing? I've put isopropol alcohol on it, to try to dry it out ...

LOL at this thread! But not at your problem NQC!

Use an exfoliating scrub in the shower regularly and then a cream with tea tree oil in. Will hopefully keep them at bay in future.

sugarfree · 09/06/2007 08:04

Glad to hear it's a wee bit better this morning.

NotQuiteCockney · 09/06/2007 08:04

I tend to use a soap and brush approach in the shower - I do exfoliate there!

Arse spots are an inevitable part of cycling, imo and ime.

I am a bit at everyone here ganging up on me and trying to bully me into putting a picture of my fanjo up!

at the late night postings!
Sounds like a boil - got any tea tree oil to stick on it? That should help dry it out.

elasticbandstand · 09/06/2007 08:22

biker's bottom

NotQuiteCockney · 09/06/2007 08:23

I haven't tried tea tree oil, don't think I have any, will have a rummage.

ouch.how about sudocream?

YeahBut · 09/06/2007 08:26

I feel your pain NQC....
FGS, don't stab it with anything - if it's that bad then let your GP see to it on Monday. I'd keep going with the hot flannels to draw out any pus and the alcohol / tea tree to keep it sterile. Take some paracetamol for the pain. And definitely don't post a picture of your fanjo on your profile!

FrannyandZooey · 09/06/2007 08:41

aw

ruddy spoilsports

how does dh know that it is 4 spots, 2 of which burst in the night? I would be feeling very if it was me and frisking him for drawing ointment and scissors

NotQuiteCockney · 09/06/2007 09:10

DH has looked at it - he can see it better than I can.

NotQuiteCockney · 09/06/2007 09:11

And I'm afraid your 'jab it with a pair of scissors' argument isn't winning me around ...

oooo, I had a very weird hard spot thing recently. I'm goingto look up bartholin's cyst

LazyLine · 09/06/2007 09:29

NQC, I had 2 of these. The first one I tried and tried to get it to pop. No doing. After about a week (it was still there!) it gave, though it would never come up in a head. It was quite a relief, to me and to the pain. It was sore for ages after though.

After that experience, I left the other one alone and it went away.

pointydog · 09/06/2007 09:54

no, not b cyst.

Cascara · 09/06/2007 11:00

Germolene helps bring them to a head and helps with the pain as well.

Bubble99 · 09/06/2007 11:10

Pleased to hear it's a bit better this morning.

NotQuiteCockney · 09/06/2007 13:39

I haven't bought any products today, but the spot is quite a bit better. The heat isn't helping. And biking this morning definately didn't help.

Thing is, I have some errands to run, and can't work out how to do them without the bike, tbh ...

Oh, and Frances, there are 8 bazillion skirts that would suit you at the local market this morning. I saw one that was perfect, lots of circles in different colours. It was an 8 though.

All the skirts were about £10 each.

FrannyandZooey · 09/06/2007 13:49

sorry it is still a bit crap

I only said I jabbed mine with some scissors, I didn't recommend anyone else doing it (we were on holiday and it was the only sharp thing I could find - I didn't just think "ooh, great, scissors, let's stab myself")

The skirts sound marvellous....there is no way I would fit in a size 8 at the moment. Unless it was a really odd low waisted size 8 a la TopShop

I will check the market out in July as we are staying at L L St again

frumpygrumpy · 09/06/2007 13:59

My DP is in a foul mood, he stomped out into the garden and dragged our children with him. I popped in to mingle with my real friends and I'm so glad I did. Love this thread

NotQuiteCockney · 09/06/2007 14:01

There are literally billions of flarey skirts, floral and non. Some topshop, some random brands. All cheap.

The market varies a lot, but it's always cheap.

NotQuiteCockney · 09/06/2007 14:04

DH went out with both DSes this morning, and ended up 'losing' one. Apparently he will be returned when they are bored with him.

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 09/06/2007 14:05

at flarey skirt glut

when I finally got to visit the market by myself, with cash, last time, it was crap

NotQuiteCockney · 09/06/2007 14:20

Do you want me to try to grab one for you? They had lots of 10s and 12s. You want not-floral, flarey, knee length?
