Unable to walk suddenly

[TROUBLEDMAM]

So on Thursday I suddenly became unable to walk
I could feel my back hurt n giving out n my legs trembling
Ive suffered with sciatica before n thought it was the beginning of an episode
Until Friday when I realised I couldn't walk at all
I called my gp out n she said it was sciatica n a pulled muscle
Give me strong drugs n left
Come Saturday night the drugs weren't masking the pain n I was sure they was something more wrong
I rang 111 who phoned an ambulance
They wouldn't take me to hospital said ring my doctor today
I did this n she said she would call back after speaking to another doctor but never did

I'm in absolute agony I'm pissing in a bucket
I've had muscle relaxers called lorazepam
Codeine phosphate paracetamol every four hours since Friday n I'm still in agony

Any one know wat I can do next?

So should I just go back to AnE tonight?

I would. I got to a point where I just cried and cried and they offered admission for pain management
If you can't cope, you can't cope and I told them I was about to cut my leg off

The last two days all I've said is I want to cut my leg off
And last week I got so muddled with my meds that I ended up taking loads of the wrong ones plus morphine makes you confused so I ended up taking too many and
Set off some weird psychosis episode
If it wasn't for my partner and best mate I'd of got locked up in a mental place
I thought I'd was an octopus and the sea was gonna get me and talked shite for ages and cried
My partner was so scared she cried
My partner controls my meds now but I'm just in constant pain
I'd rather cut my legs off

I feel like for a while I was coping okay ish
But now I'm loosing my mind with this pain and feels like something has changed
It's difficult to explain

Shit mate, go back to a&e. Tell them what you’ve just said.

Yeah you need to go and tell them exactly that

Yes please go back. If the pain is no better they cannot leave you like this.

Kick up a fuss, do whatever you need to. With a bit of luck they'll admit you and do the injections.

I feel like I always turn to MN in my need of hour and you are always so helpful and kind
I'd have to ring 111
But I feel terribly inconsiderate to my partner
But I could go alone and she could deal with children in the morning and come see me

I have terrible pains in my Lower rib cage
It's not my ribs it's whatever's inside them
I don't know if this is part of it all or not tbh

I've got a hot water bottle and my tables are on track with pain relief etc
Could take morphine again at two am tho

I keep needed a wee
It's driving me mad
As if I'm pregnant woman 🤰
I'm not as I'm married to a woman
And passing wind without knowing
Only my wife telling me I smell bad lol

I have a massive fear of the hospital which doesn't help

Can you get a taxi to the hospital? Your weeing/wind/ pooing comments make me wonder if you need another MRI.

Please go & insist on better pain relief.

Are you capable painwise of going alone? Could you get a taxi?

The rib pain could be from bad posture as you’ve been hobbling around for so long.

If you can get to a&e, go. There will probably be fewer people there at this time, you’ll be seen quicker. Your partner won’t mind, she knows how much pain you are in. You have got to get well for your children and for her.

Miketv ~ i take progabs and morphine I don't think they can give you much more stronger medicine to take at home

I used to just take morphine
Then stopped
Then I used to just take progabs
Then pains was still bad so now I'm on both

I could go alone nervous to do so but I could
Only nervous as I've got a bit where I darent leave the house in case my legs give way so I don't go anywhere n if I do it's with her as she's my rock she looks after me
But I could do it

Have you money for a cab?

If you get in a cab and they take you right to the door, they will get you a chair if you can’t make it to the door. The driver will tell them. They do it all the time.

Don’t think there is nothing they can do, there may be someone on duty tonight who knows exactly what is going on with you and it will speed up the process. They may suggest something you haven’t tried, like a tens machine or they may just allow you to have stronger pain relief because you are being observed.

You need to go in.

You do need to go in. And you're better off going in now than waiting. Please ring 111 as a minimum
