Aviatrix, I would love to have done that planting according to phases of moon thingy , and did check out a couple of books but sadly, with kids, I am forced to grab time when I can - and that is not always the 'right' time IFSWIM. (though I am personally definitely more energetic when the moon is full!)
I'm not quite sure what biodynamic gardening is. Well, I mean, I have read definitions of it, but don't actually understand what it means for me, as a joe-bloggs little hobby allotmeneer with feck all 'expertise'

I do companion planting though and am organic

TooTicky · 12/04/2007 17:35

Why do I only ever notice these threads on personally unimpressive days
(Have only had 1/2 apple, 1/2 pear, some cucumber, but have done hefty library/shopping session with 4 dcs - does that count as strenuous exercise?)

NappiesGaloreeatsBoysonToast · 12/04/2007 18:26

ok. checking in.
have had today:
2 seeds of change cereal bar things
an apple
some carrot, raw
some dates
veg stir fry w beanshoots an all that
some raisins
oh, and a wee bit of choc chip brioche.

hmmm... i havent eaten much have i? and i didnt make it to 10... i reckon the above counts as 6. if i have glass of juice that'll be 7...

FrannyandZooey · 12/04/2007 18:53

More later....but Aviatrix I KNEW IT and at the corner of my mind I know exactly who it was, if I can just put my finger on it....

Oh and CHARLEE!!! Lovely to see you, welcome back, come on girl, where's your pompoms?

OP posts:
Cazee · 12/04/2007 18:54

Good day today! Thanks to all you inspiring fruit eaters I had pear and banana with yoghurt and a sprinkle of oat cruch topping for breakfast (2 portions) (not the vegebacon sandwich I had been planning!), lunch was vege chilli and couscous (so tomatoes, kidney beans, onion), (2 portions I guess) fresh home made smoothy for snack (1 portion), and dinner was veg casserole and rice (loads of veg, courgettes, sweet potato, parsnip, carrots, swede aubergine... at least 4 portions in there I reckon), pudding? dates (1 portion) = 10 portions!!!!!!. Now to spoil it all with large amounts of chocolate and coffee this evening! Best of all DS (6) has eaten lots of fruit and veg with me.

FrannyandZooey · 12/04/2007 19:00

you little devil you Aviatrix

I was racking my brains as to who that person was, I KNEW some fully formed lentil weaver hadn't suddenly appeared under my nose like that, which is why I was asking you who you were LOL

I thought of that person as soon as you said you had done it, but I thought the dates were wrong

LOL you were everywhere posting fab things and it was bugging me the whole time

CAZEE you have had a fantastico day, v inspiring, you may do a celebratory circuit

NAPPIES did you forget to eat dinner? and what about breakfast?? I am confused, that looks like lunch and a couple of snacks. Please eat more, you won't get a shine on my boots without a bit of elbow grease behind it

TOOTICKY just come and join us anyway. I can wear my vegan boots specially for you

CHARLEE yay again - so how old is your baby and what is he / she called please?

DIMPLEDTHIGHS come back and have a go - you are on my list now so I will be following you around with the official Lentil Whip

TATTIES, GREENY, FMF, LIONHEART, SAUERKRAUT please come back and give a full account of yourselves or we shall assume you are slacking

lionheart · 12/04/2007 20:57

Breakfast: banana, fresh pineapple, raisins, carrot

Lunch: cucumber, grapes, orange juice

dinner: little trees, cucumber, lettuce, peppers, more grapes.

Don't even have to fiddle the numbers by including the coconut slice.

And like Cazee's DS, mine has also been munching on what I've been having during the day ... and even DP is starting to keep count.

FrannyandZooey · 12/04/2007 21:01

"little trees"

I have eaten more stuff

I have had beetroot, cuc, carrot, tomato, red and yellow pepper for dinner

and another kiwi

I am Franny, hear me trump

I have had two apples, two oranges, a banana, some peanut butter (too much actually, once I open the jar.....), a soup made from red cabbage, beetroot, white cabbage, onions, garlic, tomatoes and parsnip

NappiesGaloreeatsBoysonToast · 12/04/2007 21:12

er, the cereal bars were a snatched brekkie before first meeting of day.
and the stir fry which had loads of veggies in was dinner at kids dinner time

No, ignore her Avi, nuts aren't fruit or veg (Greeny has a habit of just telling us what she has eaten - mostly raw oats )

What the dickens is an Ella's yellow one???

Well done to all who ate 10 or exercised, anyway

and welcome to ENTP. I am really glad you have joined us. I'll tell you what, you and Avi can just eat 5 each if you like

OP posts:
Greenleeves · 12/04/2007 21:31

Pulses don't count? Why not?

FrannyandZooey · 12/04/2007 21:33

Pulses DO count

Nuts DON'T

Nuts are NOT pulses

(prays one day that a week will go by without us having some bizarre argument about "are seeds fruit" or whatever)

OP posts:
NappiesGaloreeatsBoysonToast · 12/04/2007 21:35

lol

ellas yellow one - a pouch of mushed up fruit fro kids. is just fruit. mushed. so it counts i think
they do red ones too - same deal, different fruit.
in the supermarket (not that odd, i think)
